Toa Lewa Mata/Redesigned

When I MOC I usually try and MOC with a Purpose. I MOC to represent specific persons places or things. Quite Usually I MOC because of a certain feeling that is attached to the noun. This is certainly proved in this MOC.
The Original Toa Mata are amongst my favorite, Yet, with BIONICLE always evolving, the way they were built is somewhat Illogical now--somewhat out of place. However, Steps can be taken

Anyway I bought a TNG Miru off um.. a place I guess I'm not supposed to mention... and it came today =D
I'm A little happy to finally get one. (And it was a great price =DD)

Eh, well someone had fun with printer labels and a pen. I guess it's the thought that counts. This is the box I got it in... Yes, it was wrapped in packaging paper so this wasn't the first thing I saw...
The awe
So, here I sit in my dorm room with 2 pretty awesome room mates (with a 3rd coming sometime this week.) I moved in today, though I started working helpdesk on Monday (yeah I live 30 or so minutes, away from Campus.) The Opening service of Northland International University was an hour or so ago.
Classes start next week, so I'm just chillin'. I already took my exams I tested into 3 day English (not out of it completely, but not the 5 day either). I also tested out of Computer class (Duh, I'm
Okay, so a post or two back I asked what color a Toa of Plasma should be... I still haven't settled on an answer quite yet, but I felt compelled to ask the question of other Elements...
The list of Newer elements (AKA: not the original 6) go like this: Sonics Gravity Plasma Magnetism Plant Life Lightning Iron Now, The colors I do have hammered down are Dark Turquoise (AKA: Kongu/Tarakarva teal) for Plant life (Yeah, yeah I know Green and blue... Heh, lame name I know... still I've been greatly inspired by the recent flood of parts I've gotten... I've been able to redesign almost all of the Mistika/Phantoka Nuva... and I think I've been able to give them quite an improvement.
ToM's Project Nuva has been a huge inspiration for me as well. While, I definitely tried to use some of his ideas, I also Tried to be original--not just copies of his. The end result is something I'm incredible satisfied with. So, with no further Adieu, I present

77 Days. 77 days since my last blog post. I lurked of course, and I've kept up with things, but haven't posted in 77 days...
Now there may be a few causes for this:
a.) It's summer. I'm free from school and thus, sneaking on the internet and posting a blog post is no longer an excuse to get out of doing home work.
b.) I've finally gotten my driver's license. Yeah. That's been fun.
c.) Oh, and I got a Cell phone.
d.) I've been working like crazy. It's been quite good.
e.) Um.. DSi?

I won a LEGO MOCing contest! I'm quite happy considering I didn't think I'd place well at all.
Anyway, on a different forum I entered their Summer Contest (Yeah the theme was just to build something Summer related). I made a huge waterfall scene with tons of trees and plant life. I had little animals all around and a few mini-figs on a hike. It was really fin to build and really worth it. THe results were announced yesterday, and as you can tell I'm quite happy. I GOt a $75 gift card for LEG
I finished off my collection of the 36 Great Masks. The final mask (my trans-Black Kaukau) came in last week.
I made the display out of a cork-board, paper and electrical tape provide the white and the black. Yeah I'm happy.

This is my 100th Blog post. Sure, not as much as many of you, but still more than quite a few other Bloggers. No doubt that in any case this is a milestone.
Through out my time Blogging I've done things that typical LEGO blogs do--highlighting MOCs, ranting and raving about new sets (Usually just ranting...). I've done a few Set reviews; I've also posted a few MOCs of my own. Just your basic things like that.
All this said, I think I'm going to do more.

'Kay, I'm thinking of MOCing a Toa of Plasma... I've come up with several combinations that might work for a color scheme, yet I can't quites decide what would work.
The Color schemes are: Trans-Orange and Dark RedTrans Medium Blue and Metal BluePurple and Black or White
What do you think I should I do? Most likely I'm gonna MOC a Toa in all these color schemes, as I just bought a bunch (and I do mean a bunch) of parts for MOCing. We'll see. (And I'm quite excited about some of the parts
Yeah, you read right Not MOC but rather Mock...
A while back I found that one can almost make a whole Toa Inika (Or Mahri or a Piraka... or even, it appears, Phantoka [both Toa and Makuta]) using almost all Pearl Dark Grey (AKA: Gunmetal). I quickly snapped a Toa together, and here he is.

Heh, so I was surfin' out BS01 the other day and came across an article that made me happy. This was the Maha Article. (Yes, I refuse Mahi. Maha sounds much better). Now, it wasn't necessarily the info there that I like, though that was all very swell, it was the supersized picture of the Maha that made me quite pleased. Ya see, from that picture I think I was able to come up with a fairly accurate representation of a Maha goat.

Ah, well out of randomness I decided to search on brickshelf for Rahi Zaku. Some of us may remember the days before our art forum turned to stick figures and music videos... The days when true artists roamed BZP... now a days most true artists have a semblance of a Life... or something like that...
Anyways. I surprisingly found some bold Brickshelfer who had saved quit a bit of RZ's Art. Funny thing is, while RZ is still one of the best artists--it doesn't seem to match what I had remembered.
