Not to distract from a discussion I'd really like to keep going, but I do have some excitement to share...
I got my two Copies of the 7979 Castle Advent Calendar! It took maybe 10 calls but I was finally able to get through to them. I got my two Sets and I was able to use my Brick Master Coupon for the $5 off (Hey, every dollar counts!) so in about 4-7 business days I shall have my two Sets.
This set is quite awesome. It has 3 unique Minifigs--several are highly desired (*cough*pesantgirl

Ah well, continuing on with the Reviews, Today's pick is Photok. Bofore I get to the set I'd like to address one slight issue: The issue of Orange. Why on earth (no elemental pun intended) would the stone characters be orange? Well, in my mind the answer is really quite simple. It's a lighter, flashier brown. Admittedly I've always liked the Red-Orange color combo for the Fire Beings, but for LEGO's goal of making the stone sets sell better orange works just fine as a replacement of brown. And w

Heh, another Random Brickshelf. This one I found a while back and thought it was funny--and well built. Noddy has put together a very well Fantastic MOC depicting a Magic Carpet Race. I love every thing about this--the landscaping at the base is awesome--as well as the little details in the Figs and stuff. Yeah, very cool...
