Okay, I'm getting really sick of this.
Almost every week, I can go into the Sets forum, and find a topic like "Why does everybody hate Tahu?" or a statement inside a topic along the lines of "We all know everybody hates the Piraka."
Someone sees one post, maybe five, maybe even fifty posts, of complaints about that set, and then they commit the logical fallacy known as Hasty Generalization, assuming that "everybody" feels that way. And that's just the ones that actually post about it in
Just a few updates on various things:
-Contest: Well, I took most of Tuesday and Wednesday off, thinking I could catch up on Thursday with updating lists n such... the contest's been such a drain of my energy I needed a break. Then of course the weird glitch hit that took the server offline all day Thursday. Today I am rushing to catch up.... >_>
-Paracosmos: In the meantime I was able to begin (just barely) work on the RPG again. We're almost ready to release a version 1.2, actuall

In other news, sorry I've been neglecting Unseen and The Dynasty; have been writing the next Cipher Chronicles episode. Got three and a half chapters so far. And yes, Tyrants results are coming soon, please bear with us as we're very busy. Not much else to report at this time. Enjoy the contest!
I've got all the info noted in one file that I need to make the polls, except a few technical details on some of the entries. Those members have been PMed.
Assuming I get the answers before Tuesday, I intend to launch the polls then or Wednesday. Still gotta make thumbnail images for a lot of entries, but that should go fairly fast.

I have/am getting a new task as part of my newspaper delivery job that I can get paid for. It's a great example of irony, because I am now making maps for the deliverers with Powerpoint. It's like the fusion of the main character of my Paracosmos RPG -- a Ta-Koronan mapmaker -- with my coolified artwork, and real life. XD
I had made one for our own half-a-zip-code a while back and just revamped it, that shows easy-to-read dots for the DNDs
I've started a new short stories series based on the idea of Bionicle "What Ifs", called the Altacosmos Chronicles. Check out the first Chronicle, up now, titled, "Altacosmos Chronicle #1: Bio Code."

EMC updates:
1) Denizens final polls for Description and MOC categories are now up. All shalt voteth betwixt now and yonder deadline of January 25th!
2) Multiverse art blog contest deadline is in four days. Anybody need an extension of a week or two? One person has said so, but I probably won't extend it unless more than one person need it. It's been three months after all.
3) No real news about Tyrants except that there are already a lot of great entries in both categories. Keep 'em
Minor entry today. I made a new avatar for first time in forever. (Now with larger avs, which is a newish staff perk, admins have to handle the sizing every time us staff change avs, and I've just been not bothering 'em. Plus I still love my old av. ) Just decided it was time to make a newer one.

How to fix maj URLs -- Click the Edit button, and immediately submit post/comment/whatever. That's it.
I got B6 to set the word filter to change "maj.com" to "majhost.com" automatically. But you do need to actually edit and resubmit for it to take effect. (You don't need to type anything in your post yourself.)

Some updates on the Paracosmos: Mostly lately I've been trying to improve the quality of BP banners for the epics n such, so I've been trying many techniques at not only making cool titles with cool effects, but also having a mysterious feel
