Youth Group

Today, my brothers and I went to our youth pastor's house for a barbeque and planning session. I am now part of my youth group's leadership!   We are going to meet every Tuesday morning at 6:30 A.M. and every first Wednesday night of the month. The other Wednesday nights will be regular youth group.   Anyway, it's late and I need to wake up early for school. 'Night all.

You See, But You Do Not Observe

Huzzah! Happy Saturday everyone!   Today is my dad's birthday. He's a cool guy and I hope he has a good day.   Today my family and I are going to see a friend of my dad's. He and his wife are an older couple and very nice at that. He tells the best stories about his life. And his wife likes to dote on us. I'm not complaining.   I finished a concept sketch for a drawing of Lariska I have in the works. It turned out pretty good and it will probably be better once I actually draw her

Witty Banter

I heartily endorse this topic. I mean, how many times do you see a topic with two brothers' characters? And how many times are those siblings, well, you and your brother? Not much, is the point I'm trying to make.   Today was very nice because I finally turned in my Senior Project product. I don't have to worry about it for a couple months now. What I do have to worry about are finals and AP English homework for next term.   I wrote another page of my epic today. I love writing witty ban

Vezon, Fenrakk, And Larryboy

Yesterday, before I signed up for premier but after I cashed my check, My family went to Target. I was planning on buying Vezon and Fenrakk for myself and Axonn and Brutaka for my little brothers (very late birthday present). Unfortunately, they only had V & F so my brothers will have to wait.   On a side note, Larryboy and the Bad Apple was at Target and my mom bought it for us.   At home, I made the gruesome two-some and then watched Larryboy. V & F are awesome but I have n

Vahi!

I know I said I wouldn't have time to draw anything, but it turns out I made time.   My celebration picture can be found here.   Huzzah for being here one year!   Project update: Another figure has been added to the drawing. We are almost halfway done with the 1st stage of the first part of the project. Luckily the 2nd part will be much easier.

Too Much Homework

I literally just finished homework 15 minutes ago (at 8:00 P.M.) and man am I fried. I had to read, highlight, write margin notes, and answer 6 questions for 5 articles, and that was just for Gov/Econ! Luckily I only had a worksheet in Spanish and some notecards to write for Computer Accounting.   And this is only the second week! Oh well, it could be worse.   Side note: Yesterday at church, our pastor said that, for believers, death is only a promotion.

To Blazes!

Wow, I just noticed that my blog has been rated by 7 people. And I have a 4.3 average. When did this happen?   Anyway, thanks to anyone who rated my blog. I've tried not to force anyone to rate my blog; in fact, this is the first time I have even mentioned rating here (or at all).   Anyway, now for the real reason I have a blog.   I got my Lego magazine and Ignition #4 in the mail today. Great comic, but the Inika's fight with Umbra is pretty short. Vezon's soliloquy is probably my

The Ultimate Blog Quote Contest Go! #5

I would like to congratulate Toa Huki for winning the last contest. You may pick up your prize any time.   Today's contest is going to be a little more challenging, but the quote is one of my favorites from an introduction of a classic (hint and a half). The first person to give me the title and author is the winner of the coveted:     The Quote:     Let the games begin!

The Ultimate Blog Quote Contest Go!

I have three orders of business today.   1. My high school holds a dance called the Sadie Hawkins dance once a year. The only differing quality between this dance and all the others is that the gals are expected to as the guys. As you probably guessed from the fact that I am bringing this up, I got asked to go. The girl I am going with is a good friend of mine so it should be a lot of fun.   2. My bros and I cleaned their room today and I have to say that it was long overdue.   3. I re

The Land Of The Free

Rather than post a somewhat boring blog entry today, I am dedicating this entry to the people who died in the terrorist attacks 5 years ago today.   God bless America; my country, my people, and those who died 5 years ago. We will not forget.

The Game's Afoot!

I spent most of the day sketching, drawing, inking, and coloring my AC 12 entry. I think it turned out pretty good.   My AC 12 Entry - The Game's Afoot!   It was pretty fun drawing Bionicle in Sherlock Holmes style!

Sunset Of My 17th Year

This is my last day as a 17-year-old.   According to the age suggestions on Bionicle sets, I should have stopped buying 'em 2 years ago.   Yesterday, when my brothers and I got home from school, my brother found our cat sleeping in the box that held the bug project he has been working on for 4 weeks. All but 7 bugs were totally obliterated. Luckily he still has 2 weeks left to complete it. Poor ~Po~.   Project Update: We made no progress on the project today; I had heaps of hom

Summer Reading List

On my ding room table, I have constructed a stack of books that I intend to read/finish reading over the summer. I'm going to blog the list for no reason whatsoever. If you have read/enjoyed any of the books below, don't hesitate to tell me. Frankenstein Eragon The Fellowship of the Ring The Two Towers The Return of the King Unfinished Tales The Silmarillion Mr. Midshipman Hornblower Lieutenant Hornblower Hornblower and the "Hotspur" Hornblower During the Crisis The Book of Spies - An Anth

Spoils Of War

Well, Christmas is over and done, but Christmas Break has just begun.   Among several other things, I received ehlek and Takadox for Christmas! As usual, sets are much better in person than in the pictures. I'm quite happy with both of them.   I also got From Russia With Love for Xbox; I have been wanting to buy it for some time now. Its awesome to hear Sean Connery voicing James Bond.   I'm afraid that no work has been done on either my epic or our art project. It looks like we will hav

Spanish Presentation

Almost didn't get to blog today; I was working on a project for Spanish 4. We had to write a composition, make a poster/powerpoint, and present tomorrow. Luckily I didn't have homework in my other classes.   I took my senior portrait for the yearbook today. I hope it turned out well.   All together, it was a tiring day. I am looking forward to this 3-day weekend!

Some Entry Name

I have lots to talk about. I can't imagine why.   On Thursday we had a big test in Spanish 4. These test are called Verbos Sabios; literally Verb Wise and we have 4 of them each year. This was our 3rd. It was pretty big; we had to know 13 verb tenses. So far we have learned (hemos aprendido) the Present, Preterite, Imperfect, Present Progressive, Past Progressive, Future, Condicional, Command (Usted), Command (Tu-Affimative), Command (Tu-Negative), Present Perfect, Past Perfect, and Futu

Snazzy Title

Aaaaakk!! The not-blogging, it burns!   Soory about the absence of blog entries for, has it already been 3 days?   Well, my little brothers and I have an awesome project that we are working on now. I won't ruin the surprise, but I will say that it will have a little of all of our art styles in it. I know you're just dying of anticipation.   Also, I am almost finished with the prologue of my first epic. It is proving to be more indepth than I first imagined.   Speaking of epics, my

School Art

Blech, I'm sick. But other than that, Here is some art I drew at school.   3 Objects - First drawing in that class. We had to draw three objects by only felling them inside paper bags.   Same 3 Objects - This time we could see them and posistion them any way we wanted.   Hand Drawing - A drawing we did to study contours.   Value Study - We drew a black and white picture with careful attention to value.   Creative Form Drawing - This was a culmination of our study of how to shade basic for

Puppy!

4 days ago, one of my family's long time friends got a Great Dane puppy. Today we all went over to see her. She is the cutest little puppy you have ever seen. She seems like she is all feet and head.   At 7 weeks old, she is still bigger than most cats. Her name is Daisy and she has fawn coloration. My brothers and I played tug 'o war with her and rolled around on the floor and basically had a blast.   One thing though, she's a chewer. She bit into my sandals; there are now little teeth

Project Preview

Credit for the font goes to Grayfire.   The reason I have not blogged much in the past few days is because my little brothers and I have been working on the project that I mentioned in my last entry. The picture is a teaser for the project, so to speak. My brother ~Po~ drew it and we decided to post it here to give everyone an idea of what's to come. The projected completion date is sometime during the last week of October. I probably won't have time to work on a specific celebration pictur

Premier Member

Hello everyone.   I am now a Premier member as evidenced by this Blog.   I waited over a month for my paycheck from my summer job to be sent. I got it on Wednesday and cashed it yesterday. I signed up for premier last night and was approved just about 3 hours ago. Now I'm writing my blog and...well, that's it for now.   I'd also like to say hello to everyone I haven't met yet on BZPower. "Hello."     Why does this post seem so familiar?

Potpourri Of An Entry

Well, another school week has passed and I am finally over my cold.   I am very excited about all of the new info about and pictures of the Barraki and Matoran/Hydruka that have come out this week. I took It upon myself to enlarge some of the pictures for better viewing. Pridak, Takadox, Kalmah, and Ehlek. Sorry about the blurryness, but I couldn't do anything about it.   I am almost finished with the third chapter of my comedy. I have only been putting it off for, oh let's see, 3 mont

Potc 2 Review

As I posted in my previous entry, today I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest. The following are my thoughts on the movie:   First of all let me say that fish pirates have nothing on undead skeleton pirates.   With that out of the way, I can move on to the rest of the review.   Characters: Almost all of the main characters from the first movie are back, however some have a bit different role. Norrington really let himself go, the two comic relief Black Pearl pirates from Barbos
