When I got my first Pokemon on Diamond (shortly after the game came out), I chose the Grass element starter, Turtwig, since I love Ground element (Swampert and Torterra FTW!) and had never had a Grass element starter. Since it was a grass type, I gave it a suitable nickname, as I have with all my starters since Sapphire version. I named him Forrest.

First, the job. I'm interning at my local paper (which my family essentially owns). I've mostly been doing copy editing, and managed to catch at least two instances where LEGO was not in all caps as it should have been. So 2013 was a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I've done an amazing amount of MOCing this year. Many of the MOCs I've created are ones I'm incredibly proud of. I see a lot of discussion these days about whether 2010 is the last year of BIONICLE. Figured it's about time that I organized my feelings on the matter in a blog entry.
For starters, I do not care if BIONICLE ends in 2010. Why would I say this, when I've been such an approving fan of BIONICLE's story and set developments? The short answer is that BIONICLE has lived a good life, and is at a point where an end is possible.

Icarax's head is attached in a way that is nothing short of ridiculous. Never should a Metru head be used with the Kraahkan in the angled configuration. LEGO has apparently attained the mistaken belief that the Kongu Mahri eyepiece will let them get away with any sort of head issues. Well, LEGO, that's not correct. The Kongu Mahri eyepiece is an opportunity to do things you couldn't do with older eyepieces, but NOT an opportunity to do things you could do but would look terrible.

Although I haven't mentioned it until now, last Tuesday was my school's Latin Banquet. The idea is as follows:
All Latin students can attend.
Latin I students (and also some Latin II students this year) are "slaves," and are "owned" by Latin II, Latin III, and AP Latin students.
Slave owners can make the slaves do anything within reason for them (i.e. anything legal, ranging from refilling your drink to running around the tables with a smelly sock, screaming, "I'VE GOT THE MAGIC SOCK!").
