Thursday, June 29, 2006 Pretty good day today. I had to go to school again, but it wasn't that horrible. I finally finished my short story today. You can view it here.

Blog Prehistory

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 Is it not remarkable what ancient men left behind on earth to teach us? This ancient pictograph was recently uncovered in the caves of Nottinghamshire, England. Researchers at Oxford University confirmed it to be a depiction of a primitive blog entry, much like the one seen here. But wait -- the enlightening parallels between ancient and modern humans do not stop there. Just as the simple painting above was signed "Gorak first hunt," so too did this blog entry

Nooz

Thursday, June 18, 2009 So, I'm about to embark on my journey. But you know those hotels with wi-fi? I'll be waking up in one on Friday morning, so I guess the Feed's still on for this week. Next Friday, on the other hand, is still hopeless. Lol.

Tuesday, June 20, 2006 Looks like I forgot to write yesterday. Probably because I fell asleep in the middle of the day. Yesterday was my first day of summer school. I have an awesome teacher. He gives us breaks in the middle of class to do homework or walk around to other parts of the school that last about forty minutes long. Just today I got a full hour-and-a-half out of class while everyone else only got three ten-minute breaks. Life isn't so bad. I still get a lot of reading homework thoug

My Cat Has Fleas

Tuesday, October 31, 2006 Of course, so do I now. And all of them vant to suck my blood. Having fleas in the house is the worst. I have about fifteen bites on my right ankle alone. It looks like I have some sort of horrible outbreak of acne down there, but all of those red bumps are actually these horribly itchy flea bites that can sometimes swell up to the size of a pea. I have bites all over my body -- shoulder blades, hip, ankles, feet, wrists, arms, fingers even. They itch during school

Heroes: Awesome New Season!

Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Before I get to talk about my favorite TV show, I'd like to start off by wishing everyone a happy Master-Chiefocalypse. Yeah, you know what I mean.   And I don't have an XBox 360 yet...   Last night, I didn't care if I had two papers to write or five tests the next day -- I was going to watch the season premier of Heroes. I have to say that I was very impressed by last night. I was afraid that it wouldn't be very good, that the writers wouldn't have been able to ta

Thursday, June 8, 2006 I am now done with four of my five finals! None of them were all that bad, either. All I have left is my Greek final. Today I didn't have to be present for my orchestra final because my teacher got the class out of it. After that period passed, I told some kid that the class did have to be there, that everyone showed up but him, and the teacher noticed he was gone. He said that it was going to ruin his summer thinking about that if he didn't find out I was kidding or no

Farshtey Feed (p161-164)

Friday, September 26, 2008 Farshtey Feed #3 today. Not much activity from the OGD this week since Greg is on a trip. KARDA NUI • Mutran is in the swamp. • The energy that causes the mutagen is not mutagenic in and of itself -- it's when it interacts with a substance like water that it becomes mutagenic. • The energies created the Pit mutagen, the same way radiation makes for radioactive water. In this case, the energies on their own are not harmful, but mixed with another medium, they

Friday, June 30, 2006 Friday! I'm so happy. I'm done with my short story and have a four-day weekend ahead of me. I'm supposed to read like a four-hundred-page book by Wednesday though. The next few days will have their ups and downs.

The Animals Just Keep Comin'

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 Well, we officially have a new member of the family. You mean I'm finally gonna have a baby brother? No...nothing quite like that...and I already have a little brother, thank you. It's this cat. Now named Shadow. I'm sure I mentioned it a few entries ago. We pretty much confirmed it's ownerless when we teamed up with a neighbor to find it's old address. At first we traced a phone number through whatever serial number Shadow had on her collar. That line was

Barraki

Definition At the time of 80,000 years ago, Barraki was an archaic Matoran word roughly meaning “warlord.” History Ninety-five thousand years ago, as a potential means of maintaining order in the world more efficiently, Mata Nui created six beings of power – Pridak, Kalmah, Carapar, Mantax, Ehlek, and Takadox – each of a different race – and made them dictatorial rulers of small territories. Naturally, each of these six became dissatisfied with the amount of power given to them and built u

Blue Man Group & An Avohkii

Wednesday, December 20, 2006 Ah, school's finally over for the break! Me so happy . Yeah, I saw the Blue Man Group tonight. The show is very...creative. Very good. The toilet paper thing at the end is quite an experience. I invite others to comment on the show for those who have seen it. Especially if you were a...victim . I've been to the show a couple times before myself. Last time, my little brother caught the jelly cork thing that launches from the table in the middle of the

Shut Off The Rain, Man

Monday, August 28, 2006 It has rained ALL DAY. I had some unfinished homework today for my first class, so I went to school early to take care of that. Today was a bit of a mess, but everything worked out... The journey home was horrible. I waited like 40 minutes at the train station in this arctic wind, and they lock the building in the summer! That's life for ya...much of the time. On a happy note, the Official Languages Topic is up and running now . Man, Tolkien went nuts writing a

Tahu

Toa Tahu was a Toa of Fire and the leader of the Toa Mata. He was gifted with the elemental power of fire; wore a Kanohi Hau, the Great Mask of Shielding; and carried a firesword. Tahu and the other Toa Mata were a part of the legend of Mata Nui, a legend that the Turaga of Mata Nui often told to the Matoran during the millennium between the Great Cataclysm and the Toa Mata’s arrival. The legend itself was spawned by a mix of common Matoran legends, the past experiences of the Turaga as the Toa

Whoa, A Blog Entry

Wednesday, April 25, 2007 For the first time in a long time I get to sit in front of the computer long enough to report my doings to a blog entry. Monday was madness. In any given school day of the year, I'm normally supposed to have two free periods: one being fifth period for lunch and then the second being seventh period for doing whatever else it is that I need to do...like...eat more. But for the last three months or so I've been taking driver's ed, which I've been attending during sch

Conception Of The Universe

Wednesday, August 8, 2007 What would the structure of the universe have looked like had it been left up to human imaginations? Judging off of appearances, one would not suspect that the sky was blue light reflected by air particles, that the earth was round and rotated on an axis, that day and night occurred depending on which side of the earth one was standing, that the earth orbited around the sun, that the sun was a giant fusion reaction eight light-minutes away. Some people in the past assum

Friday, June 9, 2006 Today was finally my last day of school. I finished my Greek exam, and now I get a week between now and the start of summer school. Does anyone else check the Official Greg Discussion daily? That's part of what I do every day after school; I'm just wondering if anyone else pays close attention to it.

Tuesday, August 8, 2006 Got the Lava Chamber Gate set today . It's a pretty nice set, but I'm not going to comment more on it now -- it's like 11:40 here. :wakeup2:   I'm pretty sure I'm going to leave on a trip tomorrow for a week unless circumstances dictate otherwise. We'll see what happens.

Halo 2 On Legendary

Sunday, September 9, 2007 If at first you don't succeed, you're in good company. Yesterday I finally beat Halo 2 in legendary mode, earning the highest level status "The Great Journey on Legendary" in my profile. It feels great not to be haunted by failure anymore, if you know what I mean. Beating the first Halo on legendary this summer was no problem. It was fun. It was great knowing that every time I sat down, I would at least get past the next checkpoint. Halo 2 was different, however. W

Mutran Chronicles 5 With Tren Krom

Thursday, March 20, 2008 Holy Thursday Happy Spring! Yesterday, Chapter 5 of The Mutran Chronicles was posted on www.bioniclestory.com. In this chapter, the legend of Tren Krom is starting to unfold. Although Tren Krom, Mutran explains, is considered by most to be imaginary, those who know better know that he does in fact exist. He is one to be dreaded, being older than Mata Nui and having come into existence before the stars of the Matoran universe. His very presence could drive other

Entry #4

Tuesday, May 30, 2006 I had a very long day today, and I don't have a lot to say before I go to bed at 11:30. First off, I know that I'm going to be a bear in the morning, and I am beginning to suffer from sleep deprivation. Uh... yeah. See ya.

O.o

Sunday, July 30, 2006 Something rather curious happened today. It happened completely at random, out of nowhere. It was the middle of the day when I was just sitting in my room, and I heard this huge engine noise. Sure, I live on a busy street; and people drive by in noisy cars all the time. But this couldn't be ignored. It was incredible. So, I looked out my window. I could barely believe what I saw! Easily over a hundred motorcycles were driving down the street, revving their engines (stop si
