Back From Trip

Sunday, July 23, 2006 I have returned from a small voyage to a couple states away to pick up my brother from band camp. I just came back last night with my dad. My brother decided to stay in the area with my mom for a while to have some vacation fun because he's crazy. As for me, I have to write a three-page paper for summer school today. Yahoo. I also have to say that I got Axonn and Brutaka at last on Thursday. I had no idea Brutaka was so much taller than Axonn. And don't forget to consi

Awesome New Piece

Saturday, December 13, 2008 Seriously, WWIII will be fought over these pieces. Everyone will want to use them. Credit for the photo goes to Kohena: Great Warrior of Pie.

Attn: Ogd Readers

Tuesday, September 9, 2008 Tell me, what would you think of an OGD Weekly Digest featured in this blog? I'm one of those people who checks the OGD daily. Something I do that other people may not is record all the little nuggets of information in a never-ending Microsoft Notepad document so I can reference them later. Now, since I do this activity anyway, I realize it would be pretty easy to post these notes in a blog entry every Friday for everyone to see. For people who would like to catch

Art Contest

Hey, looks like my entry is coming in a slow third behind Be Kold and Become a Magician! I need to put a little more effort into the art if I can compete with entries like that in the future. But in the meantime, readers, if you want to look at Join the Ignika in AC Poll 3, be my guest!

Aqua Blaster Blade Entry

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 > Vote Here < So, this is my plan for the KanohiJournal contest. Trying not to sound too pretentious, I consider this version of Nuparu's aqua blaster blade to be the solution to a problem. Nuparu’s aqua blaster blade is mentioned and seen in action in the books, and, if you want to be particular, is therefore considered part of the canon storyline. Here’s the thing. The weapon is only mentioned in the books because the prototype Nuparu set that G

Antroz Game & Toy Fair News

Saturday, February 16, 2008 Two new Battle for Power games -- for Kopaka Nuva and Antroz -- were put up on bionicle.com yesterday. The former, Kopaka Nuva, has already been playable on Nickelodeon's bioniclebattle.com, but I have greatly enjoyed its challenging gameplay. One small difference in the new version on the Bionicle website is that is has now been resized from its original dimensions on BionicleBattle to an unpleasantly pixelated smaller size. The enemies are also slower, a disadvan

Another Sudden Realization

The truth behind Benjamin Franklin's famous key-on-a-kite experiment: the electrical properties of lightning didn't matter as long as he became a Toa Inika.   I'm saying this now because we have some intense lightning up in the clouds. The silent kind, the kind that illuminates the whole sky and reveals awkward colors in the clouds. It's really eerie, like the beginning of War of the Worlds.

Another Log Entry

Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Pretty easy day today. We got to watch videos in class, got about an hour and fifteen minutes worth of break time, and we got to see a magician for about forty-five minutes. Not so bad for a class day. When I got home, I did the exact same thing I did yesterday: sleep from ~1:30 until I have to wake up to go to tennis. In tennis we did some annoying warmups: suicides, karaoke walk (), making it to the other side of the court in five jumps or so. Needless to say, I'm not

Another Friday

Friday, July 14, 2006 So, another Friday has arrived. I'm reading the Da Vinci Code right now - just something of note. School wasn't that bad - videos, breaks, all that good stuff. The new Bionicle Heroes screenshots are alright. It looks like the game is going to have a more Lego-ish theme; that is, rebuilding lego elements in the game as a way of progressing through the level. Similar to the Lego Star Wars game that they made. I only saw glimpses of the SW game once, but I can already see h

Analysis Vs. Synthesis

Saturday, November 15, 2008 Often the most effective way to understand and experience a Lego model is in taking it apart. All of the pieces are revealed, and how they connected becomes apparent in the disassembly. You can gain a great deal of insight from a model even you yourself built. We also have the art of building, creation, putting the pieces together. It requires knowledge of the rules of structure beforehand, rules you almost certainly observed and learned in the world around you w

An Old Fossil...

Here it is: the oldest existing topic on BZP, from October 15, 2001. NOTE: Do NOT post in this topic. Just reading through it...WOW. We've all learned to spell much better, it seems. Someone even curses in this old topic. How much we have grown. When you look at all of those old topics, you see some of the presently-well-known members (no one in particular) posts there, and you wonder how they could have actually typed that borderline-incomprehensible stuff. It takes you back in time, doesn't i

Alone...

Sunday, July 9, 2006 My family is gone all day, driving my brother to a band camp a couple states away. I'm alone now. But it's not so bad when it's just me and the computer! It's getting close to that time when all of the Lego Magazines arrive in everybody's mailboxes. Unfortunately, I'm one of those sad people whose magazines don't come until weeks after people post the heck out of them on BZPower . I might have gotton my magazine really early once.

All Day!

Thursday, July 13, 2006 Man, the server was down ALL DAY! I actually read or did homework rather than drool in front of the computer. How could the server put me through that!? Oh, and by the way, no amount of bubble wrap is going to help me cope with total boredom. Day off from school. Tennis. Yet another relative coming over (uncle). Usual day.

Action-packed Federation Of Fear 5

Monday, March 10, 2008 Federation of Fear 5 was posted on www.bioniclestory.com today. This update is full of energy. Sailing south from Zakaz, Brutaka and Lariska now head the Steltian ship south in order to pick up a hidden weapons cache needed to arm the team at last. The original location for the pickup, scouted out by the Order of Mata Nui, used to be a small, wooded island off the southern continent. When Botar and the nine-foot warrior from the ninth chapter of the Gali Nuva Blog,

Acid Is Cool

Wednesday, September 20, 2006 I got to play with acid today in science. Yup, acid. Of course, there are some lab partners that you just can't trust with acid... When you put 6-molar acetic acid (vinegar) and 6-molar hydrochloric acid together on magnesium, it fizzes a lot and releases smelly, acidic fumes. Don't want to breathe that stuff -- you wouldn't be able to breathe right for a long time. It would be like having a cough that lasted three months. Here's a quiz: Would you rather d

A W That's Not Ip

Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Here's the thing: this MOC was too cool to die in BBC. So I'll cheat and post it in my blog instead, where I can see it getting more comments than in the MOC forum. BBC was pathetic. People come in saying things like "I don't see any flaws except..." as if that's all you look for when you judge art. So constructive criticism -- or even just supportive comments -- on parts like the legs (I suggest taking a look at how they are jointed to the body), wing design,

A Sudden Realization

Sunday, November 5, 2006 Come to think of it, wouldn't it make more sense if the names of the three BIONICLE books series were switched around? The current BIONICLE Adventures definitely should have been named BIONICLE Chronicles, as the whole series is for the most part the Turaga relating "chronicled" accounts of their experiences as the Toa Metru. The current BIONICLE Legends should be named BIONICLE Adventures, as it is the first time in the storyline that the Toa really get up

A Sad Death And Major Bionicle.com Updates

Monday, September 4, 2006 Crikey! Bad news coming out of Austrailia today. "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin has sadly died at age 44. He was in the midst of filming a documentary off the Great Barrier Reef when he was killed in a freak stingray accident. Stingrays are naturally passive; and in that area of the world, deaths caused by stingrays are almost unheard of; but, when threatened, stingrays will lash out with a toxic, sometimes 10-inch barb on the tops of their tails. Steve was filming

A Request

Monday, February 26, 2007 Last month, as usual, I got my Brickmaster magazine really, really late, like on the 28th or so. Not only did the magazine come late, but it came without any plastic covering over it, both the front and back covers had been torn off, and the spine of the whole thing had been badly beaten up. I called LEGO customer service, and they readily shipped out another magazine to replace the mutilated one. I finally got that one about a week-and-a-half later, and even then, the

A Puzzle For You

All right, I got something good for ya:   Alright, somewhere on this entry block there is a link to a printable form of this entry. You can do that if you want to try this problem hands-on.   In the above diagram, you must connect square A to A, B to B, and C to C with three (3) separate lines (don't have to be straight). The lines cannot cross each other, cannot go outside of the boundaries, and cannot pass through another letter's square. Got it? Simple, right? Get to it. And no, the ans
