New Toy!

(I need to create a 'photography' category on my navigation links)   So, yesterday was my birthday!   It was a relaxing birthday, considering I'm unemployed and all my friends, with one or two exceptions live in other cities/states/countries right now. But it was fun.   Went to dinner with my family and mi amigo Joe. Later, Joe and I went to the Fox & Hound, where we ran into one of my favourite customers from when I was still employed with Target. His name is Derek, and he's an amusing

Life, Savvy?

Haha, so we played Pirates of the Caribbean version of LIFE: the board game, today.   We played it nine times.   In a row.   I won them all.   Haha, I win LIFE.

Big Wheels And Prototypes.

Finished the Big Wheels WIP:     Anyway. Since everyone is all like "Oh hey, look at all these cool prototype pieces I got from Bink," I've decided to be all like "Oh hey, look at my prototype Lehvak I won during a BBC contest."   | |   So there.

Canton And Scranton.

I love NBC's The Office. (I'm upset with this writers' strike, however, this is a topic for another day).   I love Relient K.   Apparently, Relient K loves The Office. They seem to have played a tribute song containing the Office theme to be played on their current tour.   I have acquired the mp3 of said song.   Today is a good day.

Bricks Cascade

Hey guys, it's not advertised, but BricksCascade's registration is up now! So if you want to come hang out with me in Portland this June (on my birthday weekend!), and see a bunch of cool MOCs, sign up!   Also, as you may have guessed, I'm the Bionicle coordinator! And I'll have details for you guys who want to ship MOCs in soon too!   Also also, as a double bonus, all MOCs shipped in for BricksCascade can also be sent into Brickfair at no extra charge. I'll just keep them, your boxes, your retu

Heroes

Dude, Heroes is like, the best show ever. I'm so sucked in.   Seriously. Give somebody super-powers, and make a show about it?   I'm so there.

Accomplished!

Today I accomplished something I've been attempting since like, September.   I finished an actual MOC! Not just a silly little (yet adorable!) robot that I threw together!   Sadly, yes, it's a humanoid MOC. This is only because the base of said MOC was begun last summer, and the torso was sticking out of my 'chunks of stuff not yet in pieces' bucket, and inspiration hit. So parts of the MOC are quite dated, design-wise. Yet other parts are fantastically new!   Don't fret, BZP. The next MOC w

Things I Want But Cannot Afford

Why not?   - Nikon d7000 dSLR camera with lenses (OH MAN! And for only $1500!) - To live in Oregon - To not live at home (which ties into the above point)   That's about it right now.

Have You Seen This?

Hey, MOCists.   Have you seen this?   Because if you haven't, you need to read it, and read it now. It will help you post the best MOC photos possible.   Red Baron's Photography Guide   You need to read this. (It also needs to get moved to the BBC).

Rocka Xl

As mentioned in the last entry, I don't have any LEGO parts up here in Oregon. Luckily, Maddison has a few sets. I wanted to build something, so I took her Rocka XL down from the shelf, and rebuilt him. This is all from just the one set, and there's only about fifteen pieces left over, mostly pins. It's not anything serious (hence the blog entry, and not a topic in the BBC). Anyway, enjoy.     |

Good Vibrations

It feels really good to finally be able to start paying some of my bills. I got paid yesterday for my first real, full paycheck, and today I paid Greyhound for a trip in two weeks, the US Department of Education for my first Stafford Loan payment, my car insurance, cell phone bill, and I bought gel inserts for my work shoes.   Next week, when I get my first paycheck from my second job (by the way, I now have two jobs [which kind of sucks]), I get to make another payment to OkState University,

Totes Def

I miss all of you from Brickfair more than I ever thought possible, especially Ray and Maddison.   Wish we all lived in one giant house together. For free.     (Also, I updated my sidebar mosaic. Just fyi.)

Contest The Forty-ninth

Yesterday, his royal HTness bit the proverbial dust.   I needed his white pieces, you see!   And all this means that.... I am in the building stages of my Contest 49 entry. I've got a good head and body going on, so I'm attempting to decide if I should stick with just this one MOC, or go multiples, since they're allowed.   And luckily, I have nothing but time....   It's good to have only one class this semester.
