So, the other day Nukaya and I were talking about video games. I haven't really played a whole lot of video games since the Gamecube days, and even then, it was basically just Metroid Prime, SSBM, and Zelda: Wind Waker. (I've loved Zelda games since OoT back for the N64, and I bought Majora's Mask with my own money back in middle school). Anyway, we were talking about how we enjoy playing the Wii back at her parents' house, and how it would be nice to have one here in our house. She was joking
He's back, and he's watching. People asked for it and now HT is gracing the banner once again. (I might be blogging about this because I made it and ray made it work as a graphic)
Okay, there will be a news article sometime soon with the details for how to send in MOCs for BricksCascade (and by extension, any MOCs sent in for Cascade will be automatically sent to Brickfair as well, as I'm the coordinator for both conventions, and so for just one shipment of MOCs, your stuff can hit both coasts). ALSO THERE WILL BE PROTOTYPES FOR ANYONE WHO SENDS STUFF IN. BUT, that's not what I'm here for right now. One of the great things about BIONICLE and BZPower has always been th
This was my favourite stuffed animal when I was a kid. For Easter, when I was in second grade, he was hidden on the top of the curtain rod in my bedroom. I was very short and tiny still, so in order to get him down, I used my Nerf bow and arrow, and I shot him from beneath until he flew off. He has been my favourite since then, along with Freckles the Beanie Baby I got when I was in fourth grade in the hospital with deathly pneumonia. But that's a different story! Maddison and I have been prac
Maddison is working on a project for her photography class that involves using light in interesting ways. So we went to the studio and light-painted. With LEGO. Because we can.
As mentioned in the last entry, I don't have any LEGO parts up here in Oregon. Luckily, Maddison has a few sets. I wanted to build something, so I took her Rocka XL down from the shelf, and rebuilt him. This is all from just the one set, and there's only about fifteen pieces left over, mostly pins. It's not anything serious (hence the blog entry, and not a topic in the BBC). Anyway, enjoy. |
The hardest part of the move to Oregon has been that it was a very last minute move, and it means that my stuff is all still in Oklahoma, minus the clothing and computer/camera equipment I brought up here for what was initially a Christmas and New Years visit. Which means, the worst part of it all is that all my LEGO parts, that I've gathered and purchased and sorted over the years, are all still in Oklahoma, which means that I have all these MOC ideas, and no way to make them real. Hopefull
Man, what is this nonsense. A little Hapori Tohu head by my posts? Nah man, nah. There's no way I've been on this infernal site for ten years, today. Or maybe I have! (On a totes madgabbin side note, this is like, for reals the best smiley ever: )
Hey guys, it's not advertised, but BricksCascade's registration is up now! So if you want to come hang out with me in Portland this June (on my birthday weekend!), and see a bunch of cool MOCs, sign up! Also, as you may have guessed, I'm the Bionicle coordinator! And I'll have details for you guys who want to ship MOCs in soon too! Also also, as a double bonus, all MOCs shipped in for BricksCascade can also be sent into Brickfair at no extra charge. I'll just keep them, your boxes, your retu
I'm in the first part of the third week of my trip to the Northwest. Maddison and I have been in Portland for Christmas, we did Washington the state for Rob and Becca's wedding, we were in Portland again for the New Year, and now we're in Vancouver, Canada. This is the longest vacation I've ever taken. Maybe I'll make it permanent . But anyway. Right now I'm in Vancouver with Nukaya, McSmeag, LehvakLah, and we've been chilling with Tufi. Tomorrow Makaru stops by! This has been a veritable B
So Rob (Janus) and Becca (HahliHusky) got married today! Maddison (Nukaya) and I were the photographers! It was crazy seeing those two walk down the aisle like this. I've known Rob for a decade! So crazy! Here are a couple photos. Some prelims I just edited hastily for you guys.
Maddison and I are getting ready to leave Portland to drive up to Washington for Rob and Becca's wedding! Where we are the photographers! I think we're more nervous than they are.
So because I am traveling and will be away from home for Christmas this year (for the first year ever [i am spending Christmas in Portland!]), my family did our Christmas gift exchange a few days ago. My parents got me some filters for my camera lenses, and oh man are they fun. This one is the most dramatic, it gives a lot of lights this cool starburst effect, and I thought I'd use it to show off some Christmas trees. This is our Christmas tree at home, back in Oklahoma. And these ones ar
