This is a preliminary picture of a MOC I've been working on for the past four or five days. I've got another one I need to photograph too, but it's just a tablescrap/throwtogether MOC I built a month ago. I'm going to stage a proper photoshoot later tonight.
Now I just have to decide whether I should stick with white or switch to a black background. Decisions are hard!
This is so dumb but I desperately want to go down to the Fashion Valley LEGO store and buy a few cheap sets and get some Hero Packs even though I already have dozens of those orange masks. I just want the stickers and I want the map and I just like getting the polybag. Curse the weird collector impulse.
So, I think it's safe to say that we all know I'm into Homestuck, and it's all Nukaya's fault, being the persuasive girlfriend that she is. Ray tried to get me into it like a year before I finally did get into it but he clearly was not persuasive enough. Can someone explain to me why so many people seem to hate, and indeed, want to be completely rid of, the Huki Hewkii/ Maku Macku flirtation and interest from the MNOLG? Same with the Jala Jaller/ Hahli flirtations from the Bohrok cutscenes?
They added so much characterization, gravitas, and for lack of a better term, humanity to these characters. Why do so many people want to be rid of them?

So because we found a crazy good deal ($285 roundtrip each), Nukaya and I bought airline tickets for Brickfair VA today. I really can't believe how cheap those are. They were $531 roundtrip the first time we looked, when I started my weekly trip-checker emails. We highly doubt they'll get much cheaper, and booked immediately. That's cheaper than the Greyhound we've been taking the last three years, too! Plus this way we don't have to ask for four to six extra days off from work for travel!
I've done this the last two years, so as the end of this school year falls upon me this week, I travel once more to this place.
