Yo. So, I compiled a large, relatively in-depth (though mostly just in-general) recap for ROTR yesterday, and figured, what the heck, I might as well post it here for people (current players, past players, potential new players or just curious bystanders) to see just how far we've come since we began back in... April? Geez; only eight months? I thought i had been longer. O.o
Well, regardless, here it is, for those interested.

*taking advantage of Premier Perks to republish this* All right. I figured that, with the old blog entry essentially being obsolete, and with the difficulty people have had in the past with finding out information on characters in RotR, it would be beneficial to create a new character list in which to organize things. So, here's how this is going to work. Everyone needs to post their characters' profiles in comments; from there, if you update anything (catch a Pokémon, change a move, modif
So for the three of you who actually care, you might've noticed that Perpetual and its related topics have been closed. "By request," as B6's closing posts say. Well... yeah. That's not a mistake--I asked for the RPG to be closed late last night after mulling it over for roughly two weeks. I won't begin to go into the reasons why I think Perpetual failed; suffice it to say that it boils down to the fact that there was virtually no direction given to the players. In hindsight this is somethin
Okay. I'm going to say this now: If this new Fire-Type starter evolves into a Fire/Fighting-Type, I might throw something. Having said that, I'm actually really excited for--and surprised by--this. Seems like only yesterday Gen. V was being released... and added to RotR... Which, to get this out of the way now: 1. Gen. VI will not be added to Rise of the Rockets until its Japanese release. As such, just like the case was supposed* to be with Gen. V, there will be no early-bird cameos. 2. I
Narrowest victory ever. Of all time. 1st. Island of Pain by TPTI--29 votes 2nd. Perpetual by Parugi and Loophole by Legolover-361--18 votes 4th. Waves of the South Alter Securi by Toa Levacius Zehvor--17 votes 5th. Dystopian by Giant of Lannister and Claustrophobia by Kryzath--16 votes I'm surprised by how much of a landslide lead IoP had, but dang--for a while there, the five-way race between the others was getting nerve-wracking...
Check it out! I think it turned out pretty nicely, personally. And yes, I did reuse part of a Sleight post for the Rocket portion of the introduction, but that's only because I thought it did a good job of showing what the current TR situation is. I'll probably change it at some point in the near future, though. =)
All right. So, for those who volunteered to help out with fixing/updating RotR's opening, I've given the front post some thought about what needs to be done. Just to begin with, here's what I think needs to be updated: -The Introduction It's really old. While it's fine for nostalgia's sake, all it does at this point is show the events leading up to the RPG, and does not really reflect anything that has happened recently--one might be led to assume that Operation RALLY is still the main startin
So, I've created an updated version of the Factions list for the front post of RotR. It's only a small part of the larger project, but still, it's something. Leave your thoughts/opinions/suggestions in the comments! Factions Numerous forces are at play in Rise of the Rockets. Which one you join, who you assist, is up to you--though that is not to say that the balance will not be affected regardless of your choices... Team Liberty Established a little over a decade ago to fight against Te
It's soooo outdated. Who wants to help me revise/update it? Alternatively, give me ideas of what needs to happen with it here and I will work from that.
Surprise! I posted in RotR! Also, in light of the Ballom MOC on the front page--I really do look forward to that undetermined point in the future where I'll have time to pick up MOC-buiilding again...
Huh... so apparently my 6-year-anniversary was three days ago and I didn't notice. Weird. I suppose I should work on something special to post, then, eh? X3
Is it time for RotR to bow out? I'm looking for outsider perspectives here. The RPG for at least the last year or so--even around the beginning of the Manaphy Arc back in early 2010--has been struggling to stay active for long periods of time. Occasionally it'll get short bursts of energy where a ton of posts are made in a short period of time, but then it sinks again until something happens for another outburst of posts. As much as I try to tell myself otherwise, it's virtually on its last
*log on today on the new computer* Whoa, I can actually play DayZ now!!! *search around because I've been dying of thirst for the past month, hence not playing it* OMG! Pepsi and food! Woot! *go on different server, get glitched and respawn at starting location but with all of my equipment from before* Eh, could've been worse. *in attempt to find the factory I had been at, happen upon SIX MILITARY TENTS!* OH MY GOD! SILENCED ASSAULT RIFLE/PISTOL, NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, MAP, GPS, FOOD, DRINK
A'ight, so, some of you may remember this entry, and if not, well, there you go--take a look at it so you know what I'm talking about. Well, I've given the idea a bit of thought, and I think it's time I presented the general idea to the public. Day Run ended last month. During the finale, we learned that what Lyxek really wanted was immortality. Due to numerous circumstances, he failed in obtaining that, and Ruaki was, for lack of a better term, destroyed. Well, what if in an alternate uni
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the long-awaited Day Run wrap-up: The Report. Comment here, comment there, comment wherever--I'm not picky. Don't point out the massive amounts of dialogue, though--I know, and it was intentional. Bumping for the people who wanted this and have yet to read/reply/review.
First off, thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday--I appreciate it. Although I find the lack of a birthday topic... disturbing... Also, happy birthday to my 3-years-older birthday-twin Dorek/Axel! Since we don't really know each other that well there's not much for me to say, but still--happy birthday. =P And happy birthday to Barack Obama, too. Since he's the head of my country and all. Anyway, onto my birthday. It was pretty funnish kinda sorta ish. I didn't really do much--bas
It has returned. Working on the Day Run wrap-up now. I decided to make it an actual short story; it should be done by Saturday, which means you guys will get either a BU chapter or the wrap-up this week. Or both. Maybe.
So I hung out with my friend Joe this past Monday night, and we spent the better portion of the evening going around town and 'vandalizing' various door handles, WinCo products, and other such things through the application of googly eyes. One of our best hits was a magazine at the WinCo checkout, in which googly eyes were applied to a picture of Robert Pattinson. That was Monday night. A few minutes ago, I log on to a certain social networking site to find that one of my friends had poste
