I beat the game when it came out, with a fair amount of difficulty. World 8 is brutal. <_> Not as bad as Donkey Kong Country Returns (equally long-named excellent platformer =P), though.

Yeah, I hear it can be really annoying if players don't cooperate. I remember Miyamoto suggesting that you can get them to cut it out by hanging around in the bubble and

Which Wendy battle is that, first or second? I found the second one very annoying since you can't touch her while underwater. There's a penguin suit block in between the checkpoint and the boss room, though, so that might help with maneuvering around the rings.

If World 8 is anything like it was in the original NSMB, I can imagine it will be ridiculous. D: I'm just glad I played SMB3 before I got this, because those NES reflexes are really paying off.

omigosh we have this and we haven't played it 2-player in ages

it's fun IMO but my girlfriend hates it for some reason and she likes Mario games
