What I Did During The Downtime (Gcses) + Other Things

I guess I might as well take advantage of premier perks while we have them. And if we're not, then I've been misinformed.

This won't be relevant to anyone but myself. Probably.

What did I do during the downtime? Well, I waited for BZP to return, as did everyone else. Then BZP returned.

(The following relates to the British School System.)

But during that period of waiting, I also started my GCSEs (basically I started Year 10). I learnt the hard way that when they say you need to revise for tests (in this case to see what knowledge we had picked up), they actually mean it this time. In previous years of school, this was never much of an issue. But because of a lot more things we have to cover, GCSE subjects go at a faster pace and so therefore we learn more. And so therefore we have to revise more. I think it's amazing how only a few lines of revision can mean the difference between failing and passing. The grade boundaries are very, very close, and so revision is absolutely VITAL. Doesn't mean I stopped procrastinating. (if anything, doing the revision on the day/night before the test is better than doing a week before IMO-it's refreshed in your mind closer to the date the tests actually happen.)

So, if anyone actually cares, here are the GCSEs I'm doing:

COMPULSORY:

-English

-Maths

-Citizenship/Religious Studies

-IT

-PE

(You get to choose 4 GCSEs at my school.) CHOSEN GCSEs:

-Triple Science (which splits Science into three different subjects)

--Physics

--Chemistry

--Biology

-History

-Geography

-BTEC IT

I think I chose well. I would have never discovered my love for chemistry if I hadn't taken Triple Science. And I'm apparently better at Maths than I thought I was. I'm not estimated a D, (which is my estimate for myself) I'm estimated for a B. Anyway, I also had my first REALLY IMPORTANT GCSE test recently, an English one, which makes up 15% of our FINAL GRADE for the course. I shall make no further mention of GCSEs as I am getting a bit dramatic.

Speaking of other things, now that BZP is back there are a few topics that I would like to see come back up.

These topics would be How Well Known Are You? and (Not Really) Bionicle Mafia ###.

Forum games give me half the entertainment this site gives me. I mean, we never got to finish the last Mafia! And how will we rate how well we know other members? D:

Anyway, that concludes this blog of the stuff I wanted to talk about.
