Bengals Win; Bring It Baltimore

xon

The Bengals are now incredibly close... so close.... that they can almost taste it. They now need to beat Baltimore next week to claim the AFC Wildcard spot. Unfortunately, since both Pittsburgh and Baltimore won this week, Baltimore will be trying 100% to win the division. It's gonna to be a hard game, but at least we have a chance.

So, yeah, bring it on Necro. Your Ravens are going down.

Ray Ray's going to have had three full weeks to get back into shape, and Rice is itching for another 100-yarder. It's going to be a brutal, exciting fight, but I have confidence in my Ravens. We haven't had a home playoff in years, we're just as hungry as ever here. Although to say you guys aren't fired up is a blatant lie after today.

In all seriousness, I hope it's a close one for us, whitewashes are never fun, and it's exciting to have competition other than the Steelers in the division, I love this where everyone's getting relevant.

I'm really excited for the entire week, to be honest - every game with a playoff potential team is going to be relevant and every team is fighting for something they need: You'll be playing to assure a wildcard while we fight to keep our #2 seat, Pittsburgh will be playing with the hopes that we lose and they can nab the #2 spot while the Browns just try to end the season on a happy win, New England battling for their #1 spot(If I recall, we had the tiebreaker if they both had the same record, which a Pats loss and Ravens win will give) while the Bills try to end on another high-note after pummeling Denver, Giants and Cowboys battling each other for the same playoff spot, and neither can get in as a wild-card, Tebow and the Broncos need to win against the Packer-beating Chiefs and Kyle "Ousted by Tebow" Orton when he returns to Denver in order to keep themselves in the playoffs, and everyone in the hunt is still fighting to get in. It's going to be a great finale to the season. The Packers and Niners are about the only teams looking like sure things in their current positions, it's going to be an exciting finish.

Gonna be a epic week, that's for sure!

Can't wait to see the Dallas/New York game!

And as much as I like Tebow, I really want to see Oakland in the playoffs. Gonna be happy either way though. And I do think Cinci will put up a fight, but Baltimore is just too good.

That Jerome Simpson jump was incredible...

But, yeah, this is gonna be a pretty sick finale week of regular season football. I hope all of your teams next week (unless your Necro :P ). There's no worse feeling than you team having a chance of making in the playoffs in week 17 and failing.

I still remember the Denver's blocked extra point against Cincinnati. Cincinnati needed to win the game to get into the playoffs... it was painful. A terrible Christmas gift.
