Bbc 41 Voting

With the voting process underway, I would like to state a few things:

First off, a big thank you to Tufi, Kex and Shannara for being great contest assistants. Secondly, I am seeing alot of people labeling some entries as "too big and complicated" to be considered a set. This kind of bothers me, I loved the older Rahi sets, I think we all did. They were big and complex so just because Bionicle has not had a large set since the Bahrag does not mean there cannot be any more. Another thing that bothers me is that if lego were to release another large and complex set, I am betting the majority of people would want it and welcome it.

What about the playsets too? They can get big and complicated, granted they mostly use system but still they are expensive. The theme asked for nothing larger than a titan, so far all the entries in question I have seen are just as large as Brutaka or Roodaka. I saw nothing in the rules regarding complexity of the build, only size. I think everybody who entered this contest did so with the theme in mind.

Lastly, I would like to point those reading this blog entry to Semi-Final Poll B where you can find my entry. If you deem it worthy I ask for your votes!

I noticed that too. The contest isn't about voting for something that Lego would produce, it's about voting for what you think Lego should produce. It's all crazy to me. I for one think sets should be more complex and would be overjoyed if the came out with the old titans again.

Do not get me wrong here, I built these 2 with the contest theme in mind. It bothers me to see that some people are thinking otherwise.

I know you're lying there. I was seeing the Makuta WIP on your Brickshelf before the contest even started.

Your entries are two fabulous MOCs. But they just wouldn't be sets. I don't know what you take as complex, but your Mata Nui and Makuta MOCs are most definitely complex. Far too much so to be sets. And you probably are winning solely because they are big and look cool. Maybe even a little because of your popularity. It has happened before, and it is a very unfortunate thing.

EDIT: Maybe I have my dates mixed up, but I swear I saw the WIP on your Brickshelf prior to the start of the contest. Perhaps what I remember are WIP pictures of your Armadillo - Afterall, it uses multiple Kualsi just like your Makuta MOC. I stand but everything else I said, though, but I do apologize for calling you a liar.

Now hang on a second here, just because a WIP is up does not mean I am lying. I started building that AFTER the contest was announced, and I have not only members but also staff who can vouch for that.

You are entitled to your opinion on the rest of your comment, and I thank you for your apology.

I can vouch for him. I was going through his Brickshelf a day before the contest was announced. I first saw those WiPs on March 2nd, which was days after the contest started. (They were on another forum which I can't and won't mention.)

A liar CzaR is not.

ET, you know that I'm usually with the opinion of "Ooh shiny" MOCs in the BBC. It's too frequent a problem. But take a look at what Lego's been making recently. Roodaka. Brutaka. Axxon. And you may also take a gander at Maxillos and Hydraxon. They all have two things in common. Big and Shiny. Where this would usually be a negative thing, it actually works for this contest.

And I don't understand where complexity comes into this. Caesar's MOCs aren't complicated. They are vastly stled differently than the sets we're used to, but they are no more complex than the ring of titans we got around the Metru Nui saga. And they're certainly less complex than than most of the Titan combiners that I've seen.

Well I have moved on to the semi-finals now, a big thanks again to anyone who helped me get there. I see I am up against a solid Ehlek revamp, and Seranikai has his nicely done Toa team also, good luck to you guys and everyone else in our poll. It is looking to be a close vote!
