Making Music && Javascript

So I've been doing some stuff.

I decided to start learning Javascript, mainly because it's useful and it's also pretty fun to code. I'm not very advanced yet, but the concepts seem easy enough, and I've found that the more I practice, the more fluid I become. I've built up a knowledge of the syntax fairly quickly, in my opinion, but there's still a lot of code that I have to learn. All in all, I can make simple programs that take a set of variables (usually applicable to real life), manipulate them in some relevant way, and spit out a coherent answer. And it actually makes me pretty proud. :D

The other thing I've been doing is recording music. After finally getting a cord that connects my MIDI keyboard to Garageband on my desktop last November, I've really started to get into the swing of composition. My most recent escapades have been for the current Homestuck Music Contest, the theme of which is to record a song for a certain character. It ends on February the 13th. Gosh I really hope I make the deadline in time.... Anyway, I've been recording two songs: one for John, titled "Do the Windy Thing" and one for Eridan, titled "Sepulchre for a Prince". John's song is a mix of retro music and more modern techno, while Eridan's song resembles a funeral dirge, hence the title. I have virtually no input on these songs, so I'm kind of in the dark as to what I should do composition-wise. But I'll just keep stumbling along and hopefully end up entering them in the contest before the deadline's up. :jester:

tl;dr: I'm learning Javascript and composing music for a Homestuck contest.
