Lego Space Event

So today WAMALUG (Washington Metro Area Lego User's Group) had an event. We were invited to the National Air And Space Museum for their Explore the Universe Day, in which we were front and center with a table full of Space (and plane) MOCs.

I was up 'til midnight on Friday and building for another hour Saturday morning, MOCing space ships and getting my stuff ready. Some of it was OK, but some of it was better. I even saw a lot of people take pix of one MOC in particular (I made it quickly in the morning) which I thought was really good.

I'll have pix later, at least from WAMALUG's brickshelf.

Anyway, Steven, a Lego Worker/Builder, brought some Mars Mission sets, as well as a new Star Wars (a big red one from the beginning of Ep. 1). The older adult fans brought a space monorail. There were some really good MOCs there, and some of the Discovery Channel line of NASA sets. I also brought the V-Wing, Grievous's Wheel Bike, and the 1997 Roboforce Robo Raider. (And displayed Mini X-wing chased by Tie Advanced (and I added shooting lasers on))

But was was really cool was meeting BZPower Member Ouch. He's a great guy, and better yet we are both avid MOCers, so we had lots to talk about.

Well, that was my Saturday.

no, we couldn't bring any moonbases because we wern't promised enough tables to do that. We had the monorail, which was big, but that moreso

1)wraped around thing

2)is elevated, so it takes up little space
