Don't upgrade your hard drive
So, a week or two ago, I had about 89 GB of free space left on my computer. Fresh after a backup, both because I wanted more space and because I'm going to be buying some very nice professional programs - more on those later - for school, I decided to try and clear some space on my hard drive. I had plenty of games in Steam I never touched, plenty of videos I never watched, copies of albums I never listened to because the remasters are better, etc. plus iTunes is awful at conserving drive space, making a duplicate of every single thing in your library.
As of this morning, I have 227 GB of free space.
Before you upgrade your hard drive, delete the stuff you never use/have duplicates of. You'd be surprised how much space it'll give you.
Also, just because I'm giddy about finally having youtube, have some Rush.
