other then that i don't know of any "today" albums that are rocking...you might try switchfoot. (i'm not very "rocking and up to date" either, so we're in the same boat )

At least you got some names up your sleeve! I get as lost as a blindfolded duck in a record store!

Maybe an AC/DC album? I heard some of their songs and it rocks (to me at least). I saw in their website that their new album is Ballbreaker. I would recommend Cappella music, but the most recent songs I've heard in cappella have some techno music to it, and it isn't rocking... And I saw Fall Out Boy's Infinity on High album. It's pretty recent, like February 2007. Haven't heard the songs, though... (I'm not up-to-date, you see)
