So I find that something a lot of people seem to really like in the Elder Scrolls games is to just walk through the overworld, particularly the forests. Not go fight something or go do a quest or anything, just walk through a forest.
This doesn't make any sense to me.
Maybe I'm spoiled because my neighborhood was built about a ten minute walk from a tiny forest, but if you want to walk through a forest and marvel at the beauty of the trees, why not go to a real forest? If it's things like climbing a mountain or going into a cave or something I can understand, but when you're just walking through a forest for no reason other than walking through the forest, that's something you can do and get a much more immersive experience of in real-life.
Can someone explain it to me?
