A Blast from the Past: ColecoVision Edition with General Rambling

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in today really quick to share something that I found while I was doing some house cleaning on Saturday.

So yeah, as the title say, I found an old gaming console (Its from early 80s), called ColecoVision, as well as fifteen or so games for it.

Hm...I really don't have much to say about it, beside showing these pictures, since I hadn't really had the chance yet to test if it still works. Although I guess I should explain where we got it from since as my profile shows I definitely was not born in the 80s or earlier.

Now I could be misremembering this, but I believe we got this system from my Uncle back around the time that Donkey Kong 64 came out. I don't remember exact reason why my Uncle gave us this system, but I believe it might been to show us what games were like before N64 era (Mind you, we have technically seen that already in a way since my sister has a SNES and all. *shrugs*). As far as what I remember playing on it, the only game that I remember playing was Frogger.

Oh, and we do have driving wheel expansion for this, but I believe we probably broke that expansion as I can't find the pedal for it anywhere.

That's about it really. Well, I guess I could answer what I plan to do with it after I test to see if it works at all. I am inclined to say I might keep it since it is a nice piece of history and all. *shrugs*

In other news, I should be getting a new PC in a few days. It is Windows 8, so that's going to be a challenge to try to master and all. But well, I guess it might be a good thing. I mean I might actually be able to play some of my Steam games, assuming graphic card is not too terrible (Its an AMD Radeon 8760.).

Hm...Moving on to some LEGO stuff, I managed to check out the new season of Ninjago this week and I thought it was pretty good. I'll tag rest of my thoughts in a spoiler tag for those that hadn't seen it yet.

Now mind you, I wouldn't say plot was amazing or anything. I mean they did just bring back the Bigger Bad from last season and made him into a "computer virus".

I also feel like they miss an opportunity to create some type of lore involving Nindroids. Oh, and I am not really a fan of the love triangle that they start this season with Nya, Cole, and Jay. It just seems like it will cause needless drama to me. *shrugs*

But overall, I don't think it was terrible start to a season. Although the end of the second episode did make me wonder how they are going to make a full season out this plot as they pretty much already had a victory that might just taken out all of villian's chances of taking them down.

Okay, its getting kind of late here, so I should probably wrap up my thoughts here and head to bed.

That should be easy since I only really have one thought left to share and that is: Do you folks think I should maybe try and check out Philly Brick Fest in April? I been thinking about it lately and it definitely close enough that I could realistically go to it. But well, I don't know. The thought of meeting a bunch of new people and the fact that I am not a great MOCer and all kind of scare me off from idea.

Alright, I think I rambled enough here for today. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.
