So apparently my advisor might not be here next semester.

I don't know if he's leaving or retiring or if I'm just jumping the gun - he's talked a lot about the next year or two, I can't imagine he's retiring, but he's a longtime member of the staff and hasn't done anything wrong, so I can't imagine he's being fired - but looking at next semester's enrollment, there are new adjuncts and professors teaching a lot of his classes next semester, and he's not listed with the department staff for that semester.

Not only does this cause the problem of finding a new advisor and upset me because he's a friend, but this is really problematic for me because I've been planning on minoring in sound design - not a career, but I love doing it, and it's only 18 credits - and he's the one that was working with the department head to get that program made official, so if he's gone so is my minor, at least as a formal thing.

Delightful way to end a pretty bleh spring break.
