I don't know how many of you have heard, but a Malaysian passenger liner was just shot down over Ukraine by, presumably, pro-Russian separatists. I'm not sure how many of you know that I lived in Ukraine for over half of my life, but this is really tough for me to hear. It's already been hard enough learning that some of our Ukrainian friends have fled Donetsk, Ukraine, where we used to live. Donetsk is the epicenter of the pro-Russian rebellion, by the way. Anyway, because of this incidence, we're starting to wonder if we'll ever be able to return to Russia. It's really sad for my family and me, because we have so many friends in Russia and Ukraine, and we're torn apart.

Yeah, it's a real tragedy and an awful mess goin' on over there. I'm Moldavian, so as your neighbor I totally understand what's happenin' over there and why it's such a big deal. I really hope things improve over there and that all your friends and family make it through this in one piece and can return to their homes after it all blows over :(

Yeah, I was hoping the Russian trouble wouldn't be personal for you. :( I hope you get to see your friends again. I know how much it sucks to leave friends behind.
