Weird Pricing III: Revenge of the Pricing

So, the six creatures and other two smaller Toa have been added to the UK LEGO Shop by now.

Gali has remained at £9.99. Pohatu and Lewa are both at the price.

The Creatures? They're all £6.99, with between 74-89 pieces each (exception: Akida, has 120 pieces).

The Protectors were £9.99, for between 60-80 pieces each.

There's been what's basically a 25%-30% reduction on price for the small sets and the smaller Toa in the UK (Tahu, Onua, Umarak remain at £14.99. K+M are £19.99).

I guess that means either G2 hasn't been popular enough to retain the same price, or it's been more popular than expected so LEGO's decided to see if they can squeeze more profit out of G2. I'm going with the latter since it's more realistic and less naive.

(£6.99 = $10.36, £9.99 = $14.80, £14.99 = $22.21, £19.99 = $29.62, £24.99 = $37.03) You know, I think we in the UK might have been on the wrong end of a bad deal in 2015... just a hunch.

It could also just be that LEGO has made some kind of logistical changes that alter the cost of doing business in Great Britain, and the small and mid-size Bionicle sets are the first place that those cost savings have trickled down to the consumer.

It's fairly normal for the USD prices to be lower than the converted GBP prices, but these numbers indicate to me that LEGO might be starting to smooth out that discrepancy.
