Summary

It has been a year since the Toa returned to Metru Nui, victorious from awakening Mata Nui and saving the universe from total destruction. But one day, Turaga Dume called Tahu and Jaller into his inner chamber, and told them that the "sky is cracking".

Far away, on a Matoran continent named Alihi Nui on the surface world, disasters have increased since the Great Spirit awakened and a young Matoran named Arba has decided to take a stand. On Voya Nui, the volcano known as Valmai has been erupting more violently and threatens to destroy the Matoran Village.

The war between the Brotherhood of Makuta and the Dark Hunters rages on, the two organizations struggling to claim power above each other.

And finally, a mysterious Toa has risen and now holds power over most civilizations, especially Matoran civilizations...
