All of the sequels announced are for superhero names, not for the identities of the people who originally took the title. However, Doctor Strange doesn't have a "made up name," at Peter Parker would put it. A movie announced for Doctor Strange would inevitably be about Steven Strange. It would be another thing altogether if Marvel announced a Sorcerer Supreme movie.

As people know, I believe that Marvel should keep all of its Infinity War deaths permanent, or at least for an extended period of time. So, how does one make a Doctor Strange movie out of that? What I would propose is that he's inside of Thanos's Soul Stone, and he explored a new corner of the universe through that. A lot of us have seen Legend of Korra, so we know that a great story can be made out of adventuring through an immaterial spiritual world. I'd bet that it could be very interesting. Who knows? Perhaps he even somehow gets the Soul Stone to replace his lost Time Stone, and he can use it to allow dead characters to communicate with the living, but he can't use it to necessarily give their souls bodies back in the physical world.

Also, when T'Challa goes into that spiritual realm to talk with his father, is he going into the Soul Stone? I suppose that this would make for an interesting way of including him in a sequel about how his sister Shuri dons the Black Panther identity. Hmm...

Would people still have powers when their in the realm of the Soul Stone? Just curious. I'd imagine that Strange would, since twisting the fabric of reality is kind of his thing, but I can't imagine that others would. It's kind of how like the Avatar can't bend in the spirit world, unless she specifically used spirit bending.

Now I seriously want to see a crossover that includes the Avatar in the Avengers lineup. Even though that's a Nickelodeon property.
