We're currently building a new house for ourselves. We're still working on bringing the water line from way up front. We have a lot of trenches dug.

I am having to personally dig a six or seven foot segment of the trench because part of the trench goes right by an oak tree...and right through roots.

After digging through the mud and dirt, mainly mud from excavating with the water hose, my hands are stained. Literally. It won't wash off, even with soap.

But I am getting paid $78 for it, so that's good.

We believe that our foundation will be very strong. We have gone through long processes to make it that way. It's what I like to call building a house on rock.
