Just woke up an hour ago (6 PM) after having gone to bed at 10 AM.

And not because of night shifts. Just went to a party in a nearby town and got back rather late.

Left home at around 8 PM, stopped by a friend's house on the way to drop off some of his DVDs and my copy of the Origin comic. Watched a Simpsons episode at his place, then went down to our favourite pub for a drink, met up with someone else who we persuaded to accompany us to the party, so we could drive there instead of biking all the way to Elversele. By the time we got there, it was midnight. Not that the drive took so long, we just stuck to the pub first.

The party was hosted by one of the local youth movements, so it wasn't your average R&B techno pop music party. Nope, lots of great stuff from the 80s and 90s, a good deal of alternative music (mostly punk and ska)... Fun times, especially as a lot of people from Temse (my home town) were there as well.

Of course, the better the party, the longer you stay. Ended up back in the pub at 5 AM, had a last drink and a few sausage snacks before heading home at around 6 in the morning.

By chance met up with a friend of mine at the corner of our street, so we talked a bit on my driveway, had a cup of coffee together on the patio, talked a bit more.

Afterwards my friend left for the Netherlands, so took a shower, made some more coffee, made toast, fried eggs, ate some yoghurt, drank some orange juice, hit the sack and snoozed till six.

And that's my entry for today... yesterday... well, both.
