I MOCed and Eva Unit!

From the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion

Haven't seen the anime/manga? I'm posting reference pix below

 

The MOC

Ok, so that's obviously not complete. I'm not ready to show it all off yet. If you have seen the anime/manga, then you know that Unit 01 broke free from it's armor, it's "restraints"

So I was about to show it without any armor, "unrestrained," but it looked horrible. So I added some armor to tease you all.

If you haven't seen Eva, then please see these pix before you think the arms are too long, something looks wierd, etc.

These are pix of various Evangelion units, which I was inspired from and used as reference.

For you Eva fans reading this, I'm working on a Matarael MOC (not to this scale. Maybe Minifig scale.) and I already built Ramiel with a bunch of 2X4 bricks, but they weren't mine, I wasn't at home, and I was using someone else's camera, so I'm awaiting pix.

 

So, to the Eva fans, I ask: how is it, by what's you know of?

To the non-fan: How is it, by what you've seen. I hope my pix helped.

(Oh, I made it Unit "18" because I was born on Januray 18

I was afraid I'd get these kind of comments. I really wanted to show it off to the Evangelion fans out there. But I didn't want it to be compete. But that was a mistake as seeing it ugly won't really get great comments.

BtB, maybe it's because you're an awesome MOCer that actually posts stuff in the BBC (I'm too lazy) so you've got a knowledgable reputation....

And we just have different MOCing tastes. (I think the visorak feet toa were awesome. If not, then it was just great for the concept on the piraka feet as arm armor. (I like concept building))

Question: I can certianly post pix of the actual MOC with full armor on. Because if I was to enter this in a BBC contest, then I would have to take the sticker tiles off, which would mean that picture wouldn't have been posted yet, so it would work...right?
