Now, this means you have to go watch Beast Wars episodes, because that was the best of all the transformers series. After that, you can watch its not-nearly-as-good sequel, Beast Machines, and its predecessor, the original "G1" series from the '80s. Just skip those lackluster new series altogether.

^Agreed, Beast Wars was amazing. Very good and original story -- no humans to get in the way, save for the occasional caveman.

But I gotta say, Optimus's wristblade/scimitar/thing in Transformers he fought Bonecrusher with was awesome.

Transformers is the best, for the last 10 years I've been watching it.

Ironhide is my favorite so far. Bumble Bee kinda grows on you during the movie, and of course, Optimus Prime is pretty awesome.

I've always been partial to the planet Transformers (Unicron and Primus/Cybertron).

I also like Dinobot from Beast Wars.
