I figured I'd best blog about my birthday at some point. :P

It was good. I had a couple of family members around, but most of the day was spent writing. Which is what I wanted to do, so that's good. I only got two actual presents - a DVD and a shirt, but quite a bit of money, which is nice. I saw Order of the Phoenix and went out for dinner, and I saw several nice guys so that's all good. And today I bought a few more shirts - I debated for a while about getting a dark pink one, similar to one of M's, but decided against it in the end. Actually, one the shirts I got was ice blue, navy and white - BZP colours. :o

I also successfully asked one of my friends out on an almost date, out to lunch sometime soon. I haven't seen her in person for ages, so we're both happy about that.

Oh, and the new Mahri video is rather nice. I don't like the radio voices or the Terrain Crawler, but still - nice animation. Yay for advertising!

I love the terrain crawler. It's probably the best playset we've ever had, and it's a shame it can't be included in the storyline.

The radio voices irk me a bit, though. The characters don't have distinctive voices like they do in the films.

Animation was great, and I love these renderings of the characters. They're a good enough quality that I could probably draw all the Toa Mahri without even buying the sets if I wanted to.

Just watched the movie. Really, really good. Did anyone notice that Jaller had his crab on his back? I wonder if the set can do that?

Aanchir, the Terrain Crawler does appear in BL8. Greg confirmed it.

As for the voices, I think it just adds to the Mahri's "deep sea diver" look.

I didn't notice in the movie, but I noticed in the "Toa Chamber" page. I hope the set can do that.
