Villains, Rahi, Matoran And Wizards

Sorry for lack of activity today -- much happened. First, our mom decided to be nice and drove up to the nearest LEGO store in Bridgewater, NJ. There, we picked up Lesovikk, Karzahni and Maxilos. Sadly, Hydraxon and Gadunka weren't there. Then, later, we went to our aunt's birthday party.

Anyway, my brother built Lesovikk, so I can't comment on him. Karzahni is awesome, though. He's bulky, but the size of his head makes it look good. It's actually wider than I had thought. His chains are cool. And the use of Ehlek heads as hands is pure genius. The cape looks a little awkward, since it had two gunmetal Lehvak-Kal handshields and two long tubes through it. But I gotta say, the dark green-lime green Carapar armor looks great, as do the Metru green Vakama Hordika heads on his thighs. Sarda and Idris are pretty much built exactly the same as Dekar and Defilak. Still, they don't have the silver Metru feet. Sarda has Metru red spiked Inika feet (Jaller, Hewkii and Matoro Inika), while Idris has straight dark blue non-spiked Inika feet. Plus Idris has a Metru blue Great Ruru! WOO! Hers, Dekar's and Defilak's masks are the first recolored masks since the Nuva mask packs (plus Norik's Pehkui). The actual trap is huge, much bigger than I thought. Not really much of a function, but the four Bordakh blades on the sides do close. Karzahni fits quite nicely inside.

Spinax is cool because the silver Ehlek spines are straight or just bent, like Ehlek himself. They start pointing up straight near the head, then kinda curve to the side, making them stick straight out to the side. Maxilos looks very intimidating, a fitting new body for Makuta. He's extremely tall. He also unfortunately suffers from the same awkward hand design as Brutaka. And get this -- not a single Metru red in the whole thing. It's all the old Tahu red! To be honest, he isn't full of THAT many holes. His torso looks plenty full and bulky, and the Piraka thigh armor on the side of his legs make them look not too skinny. The Cordak Blaster is smaller than I thought, and the ammo is more of the hard rubbery plastic used for Piraka spines and Inika masks. It takes a good amount of force to fire them, though. Parts of Maxilos seem very reminiscent of the 03 Makuta set: double-bladed staff, plenty of bright red and gunmetal, silver claws, thick, protruding breastplate, ginormous shoulder armor... The only thing I can't figure out is the growth with blue Barraki eyes on the side of his head.

Also, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows got delivered today! YEEHEEHEE! Unfortunately, my mom and brother are gonna read it first. However, if it's not read by the both of them by the end of the week, I'm taking it.
