"Firefly" was a SciFi series that fox ran quite awhile back, it only made it about half way through the first season before the management at Fox changed, and it was cancelled. It was basically a show where you followed your main characters, who were out laws, along their adventures in crime and treachery against them, while running from the Wreavers, The Alliance, and a company called "Blue Sun". After it was canceled, a producer got the rights to make a follow up movie, titled "Serenity". They've recently been tossing some ideas back and forth about making a second movie, a follow up for "Serenity".
