Tabletz

Thanks for the hugs and stuff guys, it really made me feel better. And so, I hate to be the one that will say something and then something terrible happens in my life..."I spoke too soon.", but right now life is going very well, besides crazy school hours, chores and Drivers ED coming up, I've had a lot of time to do my stuff. I went through a bunch of my art today and found lots of cool stuff. Old, but cool. But hopefully I'll have some more art up within a week or so, and then AC is coming up...

yay. :D

I need a tablet though. I did that with Photoshop yesterday out of boredom (my fingers huwt ;_;), and so encouraged further computer art interest from within me.

So I went searching around the internet, and found a Graphics Tablet for $50 bucks. I'm not sure if I'll get it, but I'll keep looking for another few weeks, read reviews and stuff...If any of ye artists have tablet suggestions, (UNDER $70 ><) it would be nice.

Yay artz. =D

B_D told me that Best Buy sells them for $75 and under, depending on the store.

But yes, I've also been dying to have a tablet for a LONG time. Drawing/coloring stuff with the mouse is frustrating, especially if you try to mimic the pressure sensitivity thing by changing opacities and stuff.

Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, even though I wasn't part of said encouragement (soz, missed it). Believe me, this year more than ever, I know how difficult school can be. I've had just about no time to write anything that wasn't for school, and it's been frustrating me more than anything I think I've ever experienced.

Anyway, I'd like to help on the tablet issue, but... it's like a foreign language to me. :P

If you have one, check Frys Electronics. They have the best quality. And if you want a good one, I'm afraid you're gonna have to go for maybe $100 or more. I have a great one, but mine was $1400. I'm still in debt. >.<

I looked via internet, and all were $100. Though I will have to go to my local store and look around. Though, I doubt that will happen since I have no one to take me. >_<

Actually, from reading certain reviews, sometimes the cheap ones can be better...but $1400?! *Anime fall* Woa that's a lot.

OMG EXACTLY 1500 POSTS IN YOUR BLOG!

WOAH. Uber-deja vu. Like, I remember this exact conversation, word-for-word, from, like a year ago, because I remember your Village av...

Speaking of which, that's more proof of your awesomeness -- I know not many people like that movie, despite how ingeniously done it is.

Yes! You get another hug! :P

*Tries to hug Lady K but is shoved away immediately*

Yeah, tablets sound very useful. Trying to draw with a unresponsive mouse gets rather frustrating after a while. I have done a bit of "window shopping" for those things, yet I haven't really found anything (good) under $150.

Graphire is usually for those who don't have much money and want to use a tablet for practice. (The cheapest of Wacom Tablets.)

Intuos is for professionals and for those who do have money to spare. (They range about $200-500 ish.) But they have this cool toolbar at the sides so you can scroll up and down or change opacity/size of brushes.

And the Cintiq is like doodling on the screen. For those who can dish out thousands of dollars for one. It's works well as a LCD monitor. Best for those who truly wanted one and would spend all their savings to enjoy the power of the tablet.

Note: The size of the tablet doesn't really matter for new tablet users, because the area you draw on is proportionate to the screen. But if you want to get into the grimy details of an image, then it's best to work with a larger size.

Necro is glad Lady K is feeling better.

As for tablet, Necro found a rather nice one on Apple.com. If Lady K wants it...*Blinks* Gwaah! Necro checked, but it has been discontinued! *Whimper* time to check other sites...Necro found one using the site of hardware store CompUSA. Necro thinks Lady K should click. And it's sorta under $70. It's actually $69.99, so with tax it's about $70-73. Is Lady K happy with Necro's suggestion?

After Necro gets a laptop and a mouse, that is the first thing Necro is buying for Necro's laptop. Btw, could Lady K give a link to the $50 one? If Lady K wishes it, Necro will stop using 3rd person on Necro's posts in Lady K's blog if Lady K posts the link.

o-o Necro wishes Necro could do that with a mouse...

On a side note, Lady K has a higher pitched voice and less of a southern accent than Necro thought Lady K did from what Necro got from , judging by Lady K's voice in Lady K's parts in Spirit's new short film,. if you can call it short...more of a half of a TV show...
