Tidbits From Seattle...
Some interesting things frm NW Brickcon this weekend that I encountered...
- The bus ride to the Seattle Center area where the exibition was held and the University district (where I am) is roughly thirty to forty minutes... depends on if they raise the draw bridge. It helps if I'm zoned out to music.
- The MOCs at the Bionicle table are completely awesome. Coincidentally, everybody I heard called 'em Mocks and not M-O-Cs. Hmm.
- There was alot more going on on the Titanic model than the movie suggested. AKA, I never knew Spoungebob was on the boat, nor that he knew how to use a lightsabor.
- The mini titanic was actual sunken by a Gahlok, but the cyclops defeated Hewkii Inika.
- The skeleton army has allied itself with Pluto, and I don't mean the ex planet.
- The people at the Space table had the best sense of humor, and decpitation was common. Gotta love mini figures.
- I thought there was a conspiracy to do with squids, and I was RIGHT!
- The guy washing windows need help from a firetruck when his platform turned upside down. However, I noticed that minifig was still standing even when upsidedown.
- Far Side comics rule, especially in Lego.
- I always had two to three numbers match up on my raffle ticket and with the winning number, but never all six.
- Star Wars minifigures are expensive! I guess there are real collectors out there.
- The Toa being sold at the Bionicle table were very randomized, and many tended to have Pakaris.
- I have been keen on building my own miniature of a Washington state ferry boat, but I don't have any of the right pieces. And guess what... they just happened to be selling custom made sets of WA St Ferries! It's sooo cool and a great little model, and I'm going to give it to my grandparents for christmas, because they use the WA St. ferries alot.
- I can spend four hours a day for two days browsing around and oberving all the LEGO Bricks there and still not get enough of it all!
I have pictures of some of the cirumstances mentioned above, and I'll post 'em eventually, but not tonight, 'cause I'm lazy and tired and have class tomorrow. But it was a blast, and I met a few BZP members (but not many. Hmm... ) And for all of you who missed out... Ha ha, I just happened to be in the right city at the right time. And now I've got myself an extra mini fig, spare Toa parts, and a mini ferry boat! YEAH!
