Bri-bri-bri-brickcon!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

'tis good to be back in the land of the bloggy.

I regretted my sabbatical almost as soon as I started it, but the money I would've used to renew my Premiership went towards saving for for the awesomeness that was Brickcon 2007. But now I've renewed for life, so 's all good.

And yes, BrickCon was perfectly awesome. I got there about 11:30, met Roa, xccj, Kopakanui, and a couple other people from other sites. For the next ~1.5 hours, I divided most of my time between flitting back and forth from the Brick Bazaar (The purpose being to buy swag) to the Bionicle table (The purpose being to rendezvous with Hahli Husky, which I finally did) and ogling all the wonderful MOCs (The purpose being obvious).

I was forced to leave way too early for my taste, but I did manage to get to the Lego store, where I spent the most I have ever spent on Lego at one go. Then I got home and stayed up past 1am building. 8D

Unfortunately, the ol' camera picked the least convenient time possible to die on me, namely, the day before the day before BrickCon. Grrr. Fortunately, we got a new one, so I will soon be able to take pictures of my loot, as well as the awesomeness that is FROGSPACE.

More than $175.

Your MOC looked great in person. Some of the bits on the legs were fragile, but overall 'twas very cool.

$175??? I sure hope you got Loyalty Card Stamps, because you're one away from a $10 gift card! ($25=1 stamp. 8 stamps=gift card)

Sounds like it was awesome.

You can really loose yourself in the brickbazzar if you don't keep track of your money and all the options out there. I can't wait for pix! (I guess some of that $175 went to the BB)

I've seen pix of the Bionicle Table and it was awesome. You're so lucky being able to meet Roa, xccj, and Hahli Husky. (I'm sure you met Binky too, right?)

Did you meet Joe Meno?

I think I spent about a hundred once...

Maybe being shipped did something to the legs, 'cos I don't think I ever had any problems with them myself.

C'G: I'd have to see it again to be sure, but I think it was the 2 x 2 boat studs on the back of the legs.

CzaR: That was going to be my little surprise, but since I mentioned it on my other blog I guess I can't blame you.

CF: Yeah, I got stamp'd. You'd be better off looking for pics on Flickr, because as I said, my camera wasn't working. The Brick Bazaar only accounted for about $25 of my spending, and that was in addition to my ~$175 purchase at the Lego Store. I mostly got some minfigs, plus some parts packs and an old set with 7-year-old Kabaya in it, which was quite good...At least I haven't died (yet). Bink actually wasn't there, I should think his new job kept him from coming. I didn't meet Mr. Meno, but he managed to snap a rather excellent picture of me and Roa which I hope to post later. The trophy went to my Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal for Best Small Bionicle. *phew!*
