Who is the Blog Team?

The Blog Team is made up of Staff Members whose sole purpose is to moderate and maintain BZP's Blogging Community. It is made up of five blog assistants (Darnzerf, Kahu Rider 13, Nukora, Shine, and Kohaku) and one blog leader (Toaraga). We read every entry and comment made on BZP, and moderate accordingly. We are also the foremost authority in the Blogging Community.

But more recently, my "reading of every entry and comment" hasn't been the best. I wouldn't call my life busy, I just do school until about sixteen, then I've free until dinner at about 18:00. After that, 19:00-22:00 or later is BZP time. But often, in the earlier hours of the day, I'll just get on to check up on a few things. If I don't have enough to time to check on a blog, I'll go on the forums. If it turns out I have more time then expected, I will often forgot to go to the blogs. Or even other times when I do have time I'll be caught up in the forums.

Often there are blogs that have no new comments, but one or more new entries. If I open the blog, these entries get marked as unread because they have no comments. If I do not have time to view them all, they often get lost in the "Yay! These blogs have no new content!" blogs, but they do have new content. Or often I'll open an entry and have to go when I've only read half of the comments. These also get unread.

Also sometimes there are blogs that, though I may view and read all the comments of all the entries in the first four pages, refuse to be marked as unread. Even if one day I just decide to click the image, marking them as unread automatically, they will return as unread and yet again never leave that state. It gets annoying after the first seven times I thought I'd caught up with it.

The solution to the first to problems is a note or word document. But both can get lost or forgotten. Recently while viewing a blog entry whose comments had gotten rather aggressive in their debate, I was going to report it when, upon reaching the last comment, I found out that Toaraga, our blog leader who certainly has lots of other things to do just on this site, had already closed it. Now, it's good that 'Raga spotted it, but I should have caught that entry sooner.

It just seems so much like failure to me right now that I can't keep up with the blogs, even though I certainly have the time. I've been thinking of a system, where on my weekends, most of which are three days, I spread out the blogs I moderate through the three days, because viewing only the front page blogs and trying to work my why back to the backmost pages doesn't work. I'm just seeing the same, active, new content-full blogs everyday and not getting to the others.

Maybe I can still blame my not being able to see the board for a month a while back? No, I suppose not.

Note: I am not discouraging making entries or comments. Though I would encourage putting up the "Latest Comments" and "Latest Entires" content blocks for those that haven't. 'Twould be nice of those showed more than ten of each, particularly for Latest Comments. ;.; And reporting. I encourage reporting.
