Where did all of the love and cheer of Christmas go?

I know it is that time of year again, but , I feel a bit Scrooge-ish right now.

Why?

Christmas isn't what it used to be. Now it seems that it's all about getting things and buying things.

We live in a world where anything can be commercialized. And that is what ticks me off.

Back when my Grandmother on my mother's side was alive, we had huge gatherings of family members at her house.

TGhat's what I believe it was all about. Family. To see relatives that you really missed. To say "Hi!" to familiar faces and new ones.

That seems to have died out though.

Don't let this rant ruin your love of the holiday season.
