The Month's Albums
These are the albums I have purchased this month.
Mozart 250: A Celebration is an excellent three-disc set collection of selections from Mozart's sublime work, from Don Giovanni to the Marriage of Figaro and beyond. I still need to go buy that album that had the complete Requiem Mass in D Minor that I saw in Best Buy, though.
I'm listening to this one, The Essential Beethoven, as I write this, incidentally. You know any two-disc album that kicks off with the fifth symphony is amazing.
I've been looking for a copy of The Village Green Preservation Society for eons; I was extremely happy to finally find on in a store (I was worrying that I would have to resort to ordering it online).
I managed to nab the last copy of Synchronicity in the store. I still can't decide if my favorite tune on the album is the unforgettable "Every Breath You Take" or the crashing, gear-shifting "Mother" (oooooh, mother!). Actually, no, it's neither; my favorite song on the album has to be "Synchronicity II."
Finally, Wolfgang's Big Night Out features awesome swing renditions of some of my favorite classical works.
