And as the clock struck 12:00 in New York City three hours after it had earlier, I sat back in the couch that I was seated in and, for a split second, I felt something I hadn't felt for what seems like years. Hope. Hope that the coming year will be better than the ones passed. Then I drank half a bottle of Sparkling cider.

 

Mmmm... Carbonated Apple Juice... :P
