About Mom's Surgery...

If anyone recalls me saying a day ago, my mom had to go into surgery for what I was told was a knot. I later learned it was quite a bit more serious. She had an Incarcerated Umbilical Hernia. It is a condition that If left untreated, will rupture the organ diagnosed with it, and the victim's system would have basically shut down due to gangrene. Or so I was told. If she didn't have surgery on it right when she did, or if something had impacted her stomach, she would have died. Not become critically ill, she would have died from gangrene spreading throughout her entire system.

...

It really disturbed me when I learned how close I was to loosing my mother. Yet, I'm very, very thankful she's alright now. Really, I don't know if I could have taken it if she not had it treated.

You really have no idea how thankful I am that she made it. Really.

Aww, I'm sory to hear all that, but glad to hear that she is on the road to recovery.

My dad was almost in death's throes, and had he eaten a banana, he would have died due to potassium overdose and a ruptured bladder, so I know what is it to be in that kind of state of shock. (I have only fainted twiv=ce in my life, once was when I heard that news, and the second was when I watched a movie I shouldn't have and fainted due to sight of profuse blood. Yeah, it takes a huge shock to make me faint.)
