Great Mata Nui Theory

A great theory I developed in the Status topic.

I have a quick idea on his form, probably not likely. But on BS01 it says he's far stronger than a Great Being, and because of some clues on Mata Nui, like Mangaia (sp) means "nose" in Maori and some other clues like that from 01 I think it was. So, my idea, he's a large being, a collosus (sp), the names of the locations on the island could mean something like that because it is a large island and strength would accompany such a form.

The island would be the head/face

Maybe he's in pieces. I think it might just be that its the head and the body heads straight down, like around Metru-Nui below it and keeps going down or something. Maybe Metru-Nui is the torso, or the dome at least.

Maybe all the islands in "Mata-Nui's universe" are parts of him.

The Matoran keep him healthy, the volcano's would be like heart burn, but possibly worse, and so on.

And something from Greg.

In the Mata Nui Status topic I've come up with a theory, it wasn't good at the start and I thought it would be immediatly discredited and disproven, but actually its supported by Adventurer somewhat actually. More has been added my other members, so I have this question that I'm sure you can't answer. Is Mata Nui the whole Matoran universe? Like because things like Mangaia (sp) mean "nose" in Maori along with other features of the island translating into other facial features. So I'm thinking that Mata Nui who is stronger than the Great Beings physically is a collosus (sp). The island Mata Nui would act as the face, Metru Nui below it as the torso. The Matorans work is important meaning they have to maintain the body, parts misplaced like Voya Nui would harm Mata Nui, the parts stop working results in a coma like in anyones body I guess as Adventurer said.

Am I at all close? I understand if you can't answer anything about it.

Beyond stating he has a physical body, I am not allowed to discuss Mata Nui's appearance. As far as the Maori evidence goes, I was not involved with BIONICLE when the original names were chosen, so I have no idea if those names were chosen on purpose or at random because someone liked how they sounded. Certainly some names, like Tahu, seem to have been chosen on purpose, since it means to "set on fire" in Maori -- on the other hand, the original name for the Matoran, Tohunga, means priest, and that has no connection at all to what the Matoran villagers were in story.

I only put bits of it in instead of going into detail in everything, but in the Status topic people's responses molded my answers and defenses to defend the theory, so that has more information.
