I was wondering about the contest too, actually. I'm curious to see what they come up with.

Inspiration is a tricky subject. I myself can only build when I am inspired, this can happen at any time, and well, drawing or scrawling an idea suffices when parts aren't available. I actually prefer to think things out before getting out the pieces, and I can say 'get out the pieces' now since I finally got them all sorted and off the floor.

If you're not inspired to build, then don't, building when you're not inspired drains you to no end. Go find something else to do: Movie? Book? the Interwebz? A walk outside? Any of those can be a nice way to get your mind away from the plastic and if you're lucky you'll find something interesting you want to try building.

Also, I am losing all inspiration for MOCing.

Buy a new set, that almost always motivates me to build more.

I've got the same problem from time to time. But now, I'm too bust to think about inspiration, Ive got 2 PBZPs to dish out and like ten things of my own. Plus you can throw in your Mini MoC Contest, and then Bunda's contest. Currently working on about FOURTEEN FIFTEEN different MoCs... OVERLOAD!!!

About 80% of my MOCs are accidental or not what I intended them to be. I was building some sort of minifig glider-thing, but because it looked so much like a crab's shell, I modified it. Just work on your WIPs.

I agree with Czar, I just got Lewa, and I wanna make a lime moc now, maybe with some black here and there. But I'd go with what ZipZapZilla said, try and finish any WIPs you have on hand...

You can't quit now, buddy. Just buy some new sets with good pieces, that always cheers me up. Just wait for summer, perhaps. Or just build on a good idea.

I think that you should just stay in there and stop giving up MOCing. Trust me.
