Leap Day!

They oughta make Leap Day specialer than they do. I mean, it only comes once every four years!

And don't we actually get an extra .26 days each year? So the leap yer gets rid of the .25... but that means every 100 years we should have a doubleleap year! Gasp!

Who cares about those years?!

I once knew a person who was born on Leap Day. Technically, at the time of knowing her, she was 2 1/2 years old.

In the Vernal Equinoctal year (from Northern Spring Equinox to the next), there are 365.242375 days (approx.). The tropical year is slightly longer.

Leap years do not occur on year divisible by 100, but not divisible by 400. Thus, while most century-years are not leap years, 2000 was. This makes the Gregorian Calendar Year an average of 365.2425 days. The difference of 125 microdays (approx, again; The day was defined as 86400 seconds in 1800, but has since advanced to 86400.002 seconds or something) or 10.8 seconds, is very small, but will have to be considered in a few thousand years.

Right! That's exactly what I was about to say! :P
