Shadows In The Sky
Yes. I got it. I read it. It is INTENSE. Very different feel from the past eight Legends books, due to the fact that we no longer have novice Toa fighting against lesser villains -- we have the legendary veteran heroes, the Toa Nuva, in an all-out (and I mean all-out) brawl with the Brotherhood of Makuta. It's great to have the old Toa back, and plotwise, they're as awesome as ever. Pohatu still has his wit, Lewa his blunt humor and Kopaka his awesome Kopaka-ness.
What's really great is that we finally don't have a single character dumbing the scene; no Carapars, no Nocturns, no Reidaks, etc. Makuta, Toa and Matoran are all wonderfully developed. And considering Greg had to feature all of the winter sets -- canister, titan and small -- plus Tahu, Gali and Onua for a fair portion in the beginning, he did a really good job without making them seem crammed. And I adore Vican's character; he's so cool!
Highly recommend the book. Great characters, intense battles and memorable scenes, it is so worth the money; heck, at five bucks it's beyond a steal. Don't wait another month and a half for spoilers, buy the book, give LEGO the money they deserve for it, so we don't have another repeat of Invasion.
