Chols Posted March 10, 2008 I nearly forgot it was Daylight Savings Time. Then I ran around like a banshee changing my clocks. :annoyed2: Yeah, I'm obsessed with keeping time. My DS, for example, is 100% accurate. And OMG, forgot my watch! *Runs off* Well, anyways, yes, we need DST. It was originaly done because farmers needed more sunny hours. ~Doctor! Doctor! Arch-Angel Posted March 10, 2008 And they hoped that people wold use more sunlight than electricity to save cash and have fewer blackouts. ~AA Quote Link to comment
Chols Posted March 10, 2008 Well, AA, that's where Murphy's Law comes into play. You have to get into the habit of using less electricity before you'll save anything. So it's our fault. ~Doctor! Doctor! Quote Link to comment

Noda Miki Posted March 10, 2008 If there was no daylight saving time, how would you know which days to not set your clocks forward and back? Indeed, much chaos would break out as people could be setting their clocks back and forward every two days as they would not know when to not do it. Quote Link to comment

Necro Posted March 11, 2008 Agreed. The only thing more stupid than Daylight savings time is the bill extending it. How the he** is wasting an hour a year for more time going to increase energy efficiency? Only question: Do we go with the daylight savings time time or the normal time? Quote Link to comment
Bloody Nine Posted March 14, 2008 Apparently, it has been scientifically proven that DST wastes more energy. Quote Link to comment
Nukora Posted March 21, 2008 Well, anyways, yes, we need DST. It was originaly done because farmers needed more sunny hours. smile.gif Doesn't work. It just makes it an hour darker in the morning, and thus harder to get up, and an hour lighter at night, and thus harder to sleep. Brilliant. This is the second time I've seen this discussed on BZP Blogs, and I quite agree. Quote Link to comment
