Why I Hate Brawl

One file! One stupid file!

Unless I buy my own Wii, my hands are virtually tied on doing just about anything, and second player has no bearing on Subspace Emissary if it's the last life. I can hardly play anything because my brother doesn't want me to unlock any challenges, and he gets upset if I basically beat his record on anything (such as, playing hard after he tackled normal:). It makes it rather difficult to even play Brawl itself, considering each of those practically unlocks a challenge. :glare:

Brawl is failure for not having two literal files (SSE doesn't count). Brother is failure for being so uptight (and not playing Brawl so I can at least practice).

One save file is -so- 1999.

Assassin's Creed was the same way. I started and got through the intro, but my brother started playing after that (without asking, mind you), so I had to wait till he finished before I could start (I didn't want to miss any of the story).

Anywho, I'm enjoying Brawl probably too much. :P

For that I wouldn't hate Brawl, I would hate my brother. <_< No challenges at all? That's like saying "You can't play this game, go curl up in the corner over there and cry." At least for the SSE, could you convince him to switch off who's first and who's second every level?

Oh, and I'm not sure if this will work, but have you tried using an SD card with separate memory and starting a new file on the SD card? An SD card is much cheaper than a new Wii. :P

BTW, sorry if I'm missing something here, but how exactly was it decided that he would be the Brawl Overlord?

Heheheh...In my family we do something called "Sharing"....Besides, a little friendly competition to see who has the highest score isn't so bad.

By using logic, I deduced that since Raga said "unless I by my own Wii..." that the Wii in that household belongs to his brother. In that case, his brother probably also bought Brawl. Yes, sharing is fine and dandy, but honestly, I think he has the right to not want anyone else to play considering he probably also spent his own money to buy the game. I'm the same way, actually. I like to beat games/unlock all achievements/extras (but mostly achievements :P)before letting my brother or sister play a game(unless of course they can start their own save file).

Brawl files can't be copyied to an SD card...

For SSE, I can have my own file; that's not a problem.

WaWa's right: My brother is entitled to do as he is doing since he bought it, but it doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. Besides, I'd rather not avoid playing simply because I might accidentally beat a challenge... again; I still play it within limitations.

The real problem is that Nintendo is using an outdated format for saving files on a console (and overextending the file protection issue for certain games); that was a serious downgrade from Gamecube. At lest on that, all you needed was a different memory card, even if each of those could hold only one file for certain games.
