So I accquired this, metal thing. Im gonna build the car most likely, this is new territory for me so it might be interesting to see what else I can make if I get more of these, things....

Ah, those. From the good old days of my youth. They're called "Mechano" in England though, a far superior name in my opinion.

Ah but see, I did not pay for this, nor will I pay for the others I have been offered. Free sets, who can turn it down?

 

Besides, I do not think I have ever seen a real MoC made from erector set pieces, it could be a first!

I think I've got a Meccano set somewheres, but it's pretty old. I think it's from '91, but I can't seem to find anything about it online. Don't think I have all the parts(though I can probably find the screws in any room in the house).

 

Has a much more compact motor system, though.

 

Most of my memories of it are of pinching my fingers, or getting fingernails stuck between bars or a nut. :annoyed2:
