Going to have to dig up all the red plating/smooth pieces I have, since I want the armour to look like armour, not like a bunch of Technic parts stuck to it.

 

Under the armour, it'll be solid black, lots of cables and such.

 

And I need to integrate spikes into the armour in such a way that they don't clutter it up.

 

Probably going the end up being at least ten inches tall, probably over a foot.

 

Also, ref pic, though it'll look quite different, as I'm mostly building it from memory and the descriptions from various books.

Upper torso assembly. Will end up looking kinda hunchbacked, due to the bulkiness of the power systems.

 

Arms will be bulky enough that it'll be quite wide at the shoulders, though that's mostly due to the armour.

 

Arms will connect to the black Technic pieces sticking out from the "neck" area of the hockey chestplates. Probably a couple Hau Nuva as shoulder armour.

Cool, smooth is good, though it sounds an awful lot like a WIP I've got going. Wish I had that red hockey armor. :(
