Burning Up

Fire drills are awesome. We should have them more often. The only problem really, is that I don't have a first hour teacher. But in any case, they are a great social event and a wonderful chance to stand out on the football field and chat. You really ought to attend one yourself, you know. Due to the semiday of school, nutrition break had been cut, so I thought I wouldn't be able to see my girlfriend. So the drill was actually awesome in that sense too.

Lol. We had a fire drill today. The whole school took one minute longer to evacuate the building than we were supposed to, so our principal chewed us out real bad. I told him afterward that we'd do better if there was a real fire, and not just a drill. He kicked me out of his office. :P

^So tell him to announce on the speakers!

Monotone voice: This is not a drill. Please evacuate the building in a quicker fashion then before or you all die.

...I don't think I'll ever have the principles that is needed of a principal.

I'm guessing you have a much larger school, Koko. Mine only has a few hundred students total, so it's not really like talking slows much down.

Same here. Grand total of just over 100 students in grades 7-12. Our class consists of 9 students, smallest in the high school. ^_^ Talking wasn't much of a problem, but there were many students stopping at their lockers (me included) to grab their iPods and other valuables (yeah, yeah, I know it's not the best thing to do during a fire, but I spent hard earned money on my iPod, and I don't want to lose it).

You mean I'm not the only one in a school that has 7-12 in the same building (with K-6 being next door for me...). Though my area is unique in that its four schools are on 4 8-hour day weeks.

I went and grabbed my stuff. It was a whole 3 metres away.

Yep. ^_^ In fact, K-6 is in the same building as us too, but in a different wing.
